Yeah it sucks but I got a new xbox and 1 free month of xbox live!

its never happened to me but i play halo 3 a lot and i sumtimes play with friends that like overloading hte maps and that just makes the chances so much higher of getting the ring of death.

oh and sumtimes i think mods of maps can also make the chances higher for example the map on sandtrap 99 elephants that map is SOOO laggy even with one player

Lol sorry to give Harvey Norman a bad reputation but:

1) I bought an xbox360 from Harvey Norman (for all yous that don't know, this is a shop not a person) and it had a problem (red ring of death)

2) took my 1st xbox360 back and got replaced for a 2nd. Same problem again (red ring of death)

3) Frustrated i took my 2nd back to be replaced. i got a 3rd and the same @#$%n problem occured (RED RING OF DEATH!)

4) Went back and got a 4th and final xbox360...
FINALLY ONE THAT DIDN'T BREAK!

I think the red ring of death is stupid. Does any one know why this is caused?

I think it is occured by overheating of the xbox 360 or it doesn't have any air to cool down from (small spaces, no room)

I personally don't own a 360 but my neighbor who does says the rings of death happen mostly when people don't leave room around the 360 for the fans to work properly.

i got it to it pissed me of and the warrenty left so i was preety boned

theres 4 of them bud.

and when you DO get 4, you basically cant play the 360 rofl XD

just send it in and get a free xbox live thing, just gotta wait for a while :S

Note: NO TRICKS THAT "SEEMS TO MAKE THE 360 WORK AGAIN NEVER WORKS SO DONT TRY IT, JUST SEND IT IN

Yeah, that happens to my friend so many times, every time i've been over his house it happened.

me and my friend got it while reading the article about in xbox mag lol

they should make them beter like the ps3 so they dont break as easy they have a 20 percent chance of breaking when a ps3 has a1 percent chance of breaking
