Dear friends,

We are a small team of indie developers, who create a new strategy and war game called War Cabinet. The game is in very early stages of development - pre-alpha test stage, that is why I would like to get as much feedback from gamers as possible. We are trying to create a nice game, which is impossible without your advise and comments.

Here is a brief description of War Cabinet game project:

The game will put you in the army commander's role during a War that takes place in the late 80s – 90s of XX century. Watching the news and the same topics are being discussed again and again: There is an escalating tension in Marutia! Mass riots erupted in the big cities and the government seems to be losing control of the situation.

Armed insurgent groups are freely roaming the country. Police stations and governments buildings have been captured and burned. Marutia does not have armed forces to fight back these gangs and anarchy is spreading across the country.

To make things even worse in this delicate situation both Ortia and Girdia claim to be the rightful protector of the people of Marutia and are offering military support...For centuries the two countries have coexisted peacefully… now the houses are more divided than ever… The whole game story: http://www.warcabinet.net/story/

War Cabinet will be played in two different modes: Single and Multiplayer Campaign or different battles scenarios. It will use pause-able real time planning system to offer full strategic and tactical flexibility.

You can take a look at our first video:

Our pre-alpha screenshots can be seen here//www.warcabinet.net/gallery/pre-alpha-screenshots/

Please have in mind that your feedback is vital for us. Every comment and opinion matters.

We will be glad if you share your thoughts and opinion on War Cabinet game project.

Thank you for commenting guys. It's really valuble for us to get unbiased feedback.

AngelOfWar - point taken about the war mood. Just wait to see some more mature stages and then we shall speak again

Elivsweetblock - The strategically map at the very beginning of the video is a playable part of the game. Actually quite lot key warfare decisions and actions are performed under this major gameplay layer.

Regarding the economy we consider it essential for more in-depth war. However, we rather stick to avoid complicated economy models which will require micromanagement. We would like to focus primary on war.

Our primary goal is to set up challenging AI to handle just 1 team.
If the game is well perceived then we would defiantly expand on more teams, weapons and maps.

More long range firepower is included at War Cabinet game.
M109 is mobile howitzer that is available for play with House of Orange faction.
We are confident that this will bring more challenge, tactics options and fun in the battles.
Various war vehicles could be seen at: http://www.warcabinet.net/gallery/pre-alpha-screenshots/

I would prefer a more developed economy system. Basically, what I'd like is for resources to have to be transported between bases by actual vehicles, with maybe two or three resources (metal, oil, mechanical parts, etc.) to move.

That way you could potentially win by simply blowing up the enemy's transports, avoiding a tough land war and giving the game a unique spin on normal tactics and combat. I would pay for that.

I think you got your point.
Is also related to sound military logistic system?
We are planning to have one, but would be responsible for bringing vital war supplies, but not all resources involved in the economy.
Staff like money, leadership, ect won't be subject to the war logistic

I like the game so far but I recommend adding voice briefing and a campaign

Detailed sound engineering and voice acting are usually handled on later stages.
We will have your recommendation in mind. Thanks.

Simple enough economy is the way to go for us.
Usually it’s hard to define what is fast or slow paces and where is the best balance. It’s all depending of user perceptions.
However, we try to break away from classical RTS with fast action, many units and click intensive gameplay. More priority will be given to tactics. You need to think in order to win

More weapons are made available to play with. Something for all. Ranging from infantry equipment to Air Force strike elements. See the new additions at: http://www.warcabinet.net/gallery/early-alpha-screenshots/

Hi Guys,
Gamers frequently told me that war gaming should be set in a dark mood. We envisioned that in short video showcasing latest game features. It’s a preparation for full-blown warfare campaign.
Your comments guide us in making better strategy game experience. So please share with us.
