In the Bible God instructs us to give tithe to the church. I heard it was 10% of all of your income, but I could be wrong. I give tithe myself, but I am wondering whay you think about it.
This is going to make me sound like a horrible person, but oh well. >_<
I do not just randomly give out anything, whether it be money, items or whatnot. I only give to people that have helped me out in the past, or I have known for ages. In these days where it costs seven dollars for twenty cigarettes, $4.40 for a gallon of gasoline and five dollars for a sandwich, I do not have enough liquid assets to just throw at people.
26 "Speak to the Levites and say to them: 'When you receive from the Israelites the tithe I give you as your inheritance, you must present a tenth of that tithe as the LORD's offering
@d0m1nated14, it does say in the bible that you must give 10% of your financial income to your church
but i do agree that things are way too expensive to just give your money to anyway, luckily a majority of people dont live in places like Germany where about 10% of your income automaticly goes to the Church of Germany no matter what(with taxes),even if you dont go there, or arn't christian
Whoa... really? I had no idea about that in Germany. But you guys do have some strange laws. My brother got a citation for not getting all the snow off of his sidewalk.
your not gonna get struck by lightning or anything if you don't tithe, but it's still a good thing to give a little every once in a while, and i don't think people should offer 10%, because that's a little bit much, especially if it were Bill Gates or sumthing
I'd rather donate to a good cause,eg salvation army,at least i know that it's for good, but if i donate to a church,i do not know where to funds go,except for more facilities for the church, etc.unless there's donation drive,i will donate.

I know I don't have to, but I chose to.
It's something you choose to do. And if you prefer to give to the Salvation Army then some of your money might go to pastors at Salvation Army churches. Just because the Salvation Army does a lot of world wide stuff doesn't exclude it from any other regular church.
