Well this thread is branched off of the Mudkip drawing thread. This will be the same accept for a new rule.

RULES
All pictures must be made using MS art.

The pictures must be appropriate (I will accept constipated Pikachus )

The pictures must of course be of the pokemon stated.

There will be a designed date for all entries. No prizes unless a md wants to. The real prize is knowing that you own at drawing pokemon!

Well, I will go first,
EVERYONE, draw a Pikachu! The start date is now, and the end date is July 10th.

The first contest will be judged by me, and I will chosee the winner. The winner then chooses a new pokemon, and he/she is now the judge. If the winner declines, the judging and assigning duties will go to the runner-up chosen by the prior judge.

So now! Go draw some Pikachus!

Paint?? That would've been insane...

I used Photoshop Elements. Used some special brushes and gradients for the fire and clouds, the rest is just normal drawing/painting.

This is simply stunning work Zophia. Simply stunning. I commend you on this great work of art. Although, I have to point out that Growlithe do not have wings and therefore your entry is not as accurate as it could be. :P

Nice work Shadow. I think that your entry is the most accurately drawn, and it is also very neat. The face and nose look very effective also. Nice use of the line tool I believe.

Well Estel, you entered, found out that your entry wasn't valid and then changed the rules to suit you. How rude! Although once again I must thank you for this!

A nice entry, the blur is used effectively adding depth (although I think the darkened areas do this more...). One thing that could have been improved was the ground, as it looks like your Growlithe is sitting on a wall or something...althought that might just be me.

Third Place - Zega

A nice and clever entry Zega. Your growlithe looks very posh and proper, someone that I would go to tea with to discuss a business venture.

One little thing that could have been fixed up could be the legs, as they look slightly strange. Could I suggest that next time you spend a little bit more time on your entry...just take your time and do it well.

An interesting entry Gizmo. Focussing on the rest of the growlithe, it is drawn reasonable well. The tail tail and hair looks good.

The face and fire is just strange. When I first saw it I was like 'WHOA...WHAT HAVE I BEEN SMOKING?' But then I just realised that that was your picture. I think someone should call the fire brigade...

This reminds me of a cave painting, however I must say I like it because it has all the right colours. You have managed to capture the colour of the stripes perfectly.

The background is kinda wierd though....awesome...but wierd...

You do realise that 'Ho-ho' is actually politically incorrect these days and that Santa (and his foolish impersonators) are being told to say Ha-Ha or He-He instead.

A good entry though. I like the beard and the background. Although the mouth is red...has he eaten someone? Or is he really a vampire-santa-growlithe....? We may never know....CHUNG-CHUNG...

I have to say that this one just looks female. Just the way its body is skinny at the back...it just has to be. Also it is probably yelling at someone...

Overall a good entry. It just missed out on placing....so keep on trying.

A good entry, a nice idea to compare a pokemon to a pet. I think that the tail looks awesome.

That is actually the bottome of his back paw. He was a bit too far over to the right on the screen so I picked him up but accidentally chopped off a bit of his toes... sorry.

It was supposed to be female, so ya.

They aren't effected by love moves that make you infactuated by them so females have an advantedge in pokemon.

It looks like shadow just traced that picture... It looks exactly the same as the Sugomori art of Growlithe... >

I think he stated that he looked at the picture and drew it from that. Same thing Estel did. Could be tracing in both cases, but could also just be copying by looking at it.

O.o That's a tiny bit of copying, in my opinion.

By the way, what's with Goumas background? That's pretty bizzare... I don't think Goumas could make that kind of background.... Maybe he copied it from something?

It looks to me like he made a small bit of it then copy and pasted it all over. It doesn't look neat enough to be a pre-set background. But why are you picking holes in everyones pictures? You came 3rd with a great entry.
