Well this thread is branched off of the Mudkip drawing thread. This will be the same accept for a new rule.
RULES All pictures must be made using MS art.
The pictures must be appropriate (I will accept constipated Pikachus )
The pictures must of course be of the pokemon stated.
There will be a designed date for all entries. No prizes unless a md wants to. The real prize is knowing that you own at drawing pokemon!
Well, I will go first, EVERYONE, draw a Pikachu! The start date is now, and the end date is July 10th.
The first contest will be judged by me, and I will chosee the winner. The winner then chooses a new pokemon, and he/she is now the judge. If the winner declines, the judging and assigning duties will go to the runner-up chosen by the prior judge.
The weak thing about Magikarp is that it learns tackle level 15. If it had learned it on level 1, it wouldn't be as bad!
I caught a magikarp, and decided to call it Splash... Since it was a decent level, but just not high enough for the tackle, I was mumbling "Splash! Use Splash!" whenever I was "fighting" with it...
What are the seven Pokemon?
What seven pokemon? Is it the seven as in the eeveelutions, or the seventh pokemon as in Squirtle?
This is a really good picture Cen. Sorta sketchy, but overall really awesome. When I think about it, that must be one long Furret to be able to fit i nthat pipe...band why was the pipe set up like that in the first place?
Really, who cares! This is an amazing entry that would have placed highly had you not won last week. Well done Cenere.
First Place - Zophia
This is really, really cute! I just wanna cuddle up next to it and go to sleep. Although...the swirlyness doesn't look very safe...
Excellently drawn Zoph, the textures look really good and it is a close representation of a Furret. Pick us the next pokemon!!
Second Place - Papi
This is also a very cute Furret. I love the expression on its face...and the ears! I love the ears!
Overall, I think what I like about this entry the most is its simplicity, how the background isn't extravagant, yet it still looks very effective (and like it was almost painted). Good use of the airbrush tool (or equivalent)
Third Place - Gizmo
A nicely drawn furret. It is very accurare, although there are a few problems that could have been fixed. (The straightness of the body at times, the size of the eyes, the arm size and a few places where it isn't coloured in within the lines...)
Overall a good entry, and it got its place in the judging by being the most accurate.
The others....DUN DUN DUUUNN!!!!
Well, we had a total of 8 other entries (total of 12 including Cens), an they all look very...err...interesting! Nice to see such a turnout.
(In the order supplied by Zega on page 117)
The LOLWHUT Award - Snake
This entry is...well...interesting. I have no real idea what half the things are....but the use of patterns is well done. I like the expression on the Furrets face! And the picture!
*twitches*
The NecroFURiat AWard - Pixie
I didn't know that Furrets had the possibility to be a necro...but I've been wrong before. In general, your furret is drawn quite well and is quite accurate.
You could have put someones name on the tombstone though...
The Strange Snorer Award - Zega
Seriously, who snores peoples names? That would be a pretty cool party trick...*snores - r r r ryyaaaann...etc*
A nice entry Zega, you always seem to put a lot of effort im. Maybe try and put in a landscape for the background next round...and try to make your entry a little less pixely...Overall well done though!
The Earwig Award - Gametesta
This entry would win the award for looking most like an earwig...oh waaiiit...it did! I think that the tail and position of the legs provide this effect...
Maybe next time work on making your entry a little more clean, and a bit more solid. Good try though.
The I don't get it because I'm ignorant award - Thoad
Yeah...I'm ignorant. This is probably something that I really should know about but I dont. Your furret (why did I almost write turtwig???!!!) is interestingly drawn, however it looks a bit dead...I think it needs feeding.
Overall, it is a good entry and I am still glad to see some traditional art. *wonders who giovanni is...*
The Hmm...Oriiginall...Award - Manta
I must say that this entry looks very similar to something I've seen before...maybe an Armatar....
It's a good entry anyway, very American (so it suits your heritage)! The Mantaray is very cute...and the furret looks cool (although slightly like the guy off Ugly Betty ... you know who I mean!! Like I said, if you're confused about your feelings...talk to me about it and I can help xD ).
Well done.
The Dog-a-like Award - Zorvaz
This entry looks like a dog. Like a sausage dog. Like that dog from Hairy McClairy from Donaldson's Dairy. Ah...sweet memories.
No offence, but this entry could be cleaned up a little bit. It seems slightly rushed, so please spend a little bit more time on it next time! (Even just erasing stray lines would be much better...)
The Duuuuddde Award - Samdawghomie
Duuuddddddeee! Your furret is totally awweesommme!!! Its very rainbow! I will have to say that I don't really understand the text, but maybe it is meant to be like that.
Overall a good entry, maybe see if you can get it on a computer by a better way that just a photo next time. It is drawn very well...
Yawns...
Well that is all the entries done...so now we wait for Zophia.
Next Round Theme: Waiting for Zoph... Deadline: Next Tuesday...the 25th of August...
