Currently I'm able to beat most of the first 10 hextiles no problem on Glaring w/ all scrolls at 7 (Hatred at ~4.)

I can take anywhere from 3-8M in XP away from it, so I think I'm doing good.

I'm noticing a lack of resources where diff. builds are concerned? Or is pool/bloodbound mana farms and crit. gems the only way to go after level 300+?

This is my skillset ATM, looking for advice and feel free to post your own strategies. Level 375.

I win most battles by making it to wave 20-ish until my mana trap (w/ bolt) is killing everything by itself. After that I just focus on the trap and rake in millions every time the mana timer ends. I'll keep the orb guarded with a pool/blood/armor/crit quad gem and amps.

I'm told this is the basic approach for end game in GC:CS. Any more interesting methods?

An example of the orb setup (wave 30, field E7, Glaring, all scrolls 7 (Hatred 4)), meant to unscrew your orblet situation or avert sudden shadow ambushes:

Keep the center gem at least equal to half the grade of your killing mana trap. You'll need it, especially if you're enraging waves for bonus XP.

At wave 55/104, the mana trap is clearing waves single-handedly, with some giants making it by. At this point you can start blindly enraging every wave with grade 5+ gems; they're pocket change if you're continuing to invest mainly in your trap.

Don't be afraid to clear your bank. The mana timer means you'll have enough saved up to level your mana pool by the time it ends, anyway.

This is basically your sole offense. At this point the armor tearing/crit quad handles later-wave shadows and spires quickly.

BOLT YOUR TRAP. Don't beam or barrage it; amps and gem grade brings your firing rate where it needs to be.

My setup at wave 75. Don't let your orb tower's range cover your trap tile like I have. It's counterproductive. When you're relying on a trap to one-hit enraged waves in Glaring, you need all the mana it gets you to keep an edge.

After 104 waves w/ above skillset on Glaring:

Notice I've cleared the orb tower and left behind a spare.

Keeping in mind I'm no expert, Hatred was only at 4, and it's just E7. Still, following this strategy hasn't failed me so far and its fully exploitable at around 100 levels. No big deal.

9M XP at the end of battle (no use of Fury skill.)

Probably too many skills spent. Go for 21 or 24 in Colors, Traps, Mana, White. Some crit, mana stream, amps at some nice break point. A bit of Construction and the spells (they'll charge faster). Lose black and purple skills period (when you have skills in the 30s, change from white to black and do not look back). Do not use Hatred, maybe drop mana-lock for now. Look for friendly one entrance maps with long paths, pound them for a few hundred levels then get some high end talisman parts (anything with +1 all skills).

Do not have your mana farm kill, you're wasting the opportunity to suck a LOT more mana out of creeps. Use barrage: increases specials by 30% or beam if low level gem (increases fire rate).

I have pics from tonight's massacre, your game won't get this stupid yet, but it can get plenty stupid:

Unfortunately it's all the same mid to late game. You can do this a little now, then you're able to do it a lot until you find it pointless

See, this is good, it's all I needed to hear. I guess the purple gems are habit.

I thought white/black would make a compound effect but I looked it up and apparently they apply separately to the gem's original stats?

Either way thank you, I'm glad I wasn't too far out of the loop.
