What if the bishop falls off?

It doesn't just fall off, the bits and pieces are magical, let alone the cards.

Wonderful move mamibo. That restricts the deity cards to a single group Alright. My turn it is then.

*Places 3 of Gaze, a card showing 3 eyes*
*Places Gaunter O'Dimm, the Master of Mirrors in my field instead of playing a chess piece*
I am not yet going to activate anything, so let's proceed

*Draws a new card*

Interesting. Your move Chryos

3 of Gaze! Nice move against the constellation. But mind you, it's an Uneven one, and under Catalonia's rule evrything imperfect or fake is in power.

But the move is still wonderful.

Master of Mirrors... Let me see what that does...
*Opens "La Via Della Lumaca" and browses through it*
Wowza! Good one.

Let's see what Chryos has to offer.

*places down a glass*

Thank you for helping me put them in love. Now I don't have to combine them myself.

*cards join together to create The Smoke Monster*

*glass fills up one fifth of the way*

With the Smoke Monster in play, your attacks are lowered. Furthermore, when the Fortune Glass fills up from my fusions, it allows me to summon a legendary monster without the need for fusion.

All part of the plan, man.

*Rolls black die with the number 3 on each side*
Hm... 3...

I think I'll play the Church of Solipsism strategy. Catalonia is the perfect patron diety for that.

Let's see... *Produces two aces of clubs and leans them on the bishop*
*They turn into a small chapel model*
*The uneven constellation turns into little sparkling stars and hovers over the chapel*

Audacia pro muro habētur!

*Three tiny knight figurines with capes and swords walk out of the little chapel*
Next move I'll be starting the crusade.

By the way, Chryos, it's obvious you've never played with a Mad Bishop in the game. The glass will have the most power with 4/5 charges thanks to Catalonia, the Mistress of Dolls, mind you.

You should consider finding yourself a copy of "The Book of Pelicans" by Raymundus Kremer, a third dynasty P'phnart specialist. It was his favourite move.

*sobers up*

then it's my turn I believe

*Places down a 6 and 8 of Gaze, cards showing 6 and 8 eyes respectively*
Aaand...the Copycat!
*Places down the Copycat instead of playing a chess piece*

Now like you said, 6 and 8 of Gaze should be powerless, because of the deity we are worshipping right?

*places down the 5 of Flames and 7 of Breeze showing harpies on the latter*

The Elements only respect one thing, Gaia. Which is why I sacrifice the Smoke Monster to call upon Yggdrasil.

*Smoke Monster card turns into a small giant tree*

Next, I place my Druid *places a white bishop* and use the power of the Yggdrasil and my Druid to convert the Mad Bishop into a Druid. By the way, I can only do that once per game.

*mamibo's bishop moves to my side*

Wow.

The Church of Solipsism went to the dogs...
And you have the Druid Duet now...

Welp, I still have the Black Pope, an Orthodox crusade is something new, but it might work...
*Places black bishop chess piece into the Church*

But what can I do agains the Yggdrasil?
The usual playing cards are so limited...

...

I think i know...
Demon worship!

*Produces black Joker with a serpent depicted on it*
We call upon the powers of the Great Beast Jormungand!
Accept our sacrifice, consume the Sun and let the Great World Tree wither!
*The knight figurines are sucked into the card*

Sooo... Jormungand consuming the power of Catalonia the Mistress of Dolls, we get... *browses through first the Via della Lumaca then through The Book of Pelicans while the tavern darkens immensly*

We get Tark The Stuffed Serpent. This deity system is confusing indeed... So, the black pope worships Tark-Jormungand, and it in turn consumes the sun. Catalonia is powerless, so is the protective power of my Uneven Constellation(

Tark's power is free will. It kinda plays on its own.
*Tark summons bone wall, growing out of the table around the church*
Nice!

This is about it.

*Yggdrasil starts to wither*

Oh yeah, mind you, the Black pope is ethereal, meaning it's invulnerable, but cannot engage in battle or count towards victory.
But your even cards are now at their usual strength.
See what happens now.

You are already powering up to the very limit I see. The key with the optics deck is passive attitude on the other hand

*Places down 5 of Gaze*
*Places down Witchsight.* Thanks to this, all my simple cards, the 3, 5, 6 and 8 of Gaze are destroyed but allow me to draw extra cards from my deck, specifically 1 card for every 4 points of base value. And as cards count double their value, that's

2*(3 + 5 + 6 + 8) = 44 so I can draw 11 new cards now

*Draws 11 new cards*

Great. Half the deck is already in my hand. The options are limitless. You've only been playing cards so far, reducing the number of cards you have in your hand while mine are increasing by the moment

*places down Dragonstone*

Not only does this card evolve my Flames into Audin, the Black Dragon. Furthermore,it allows me to destroy a card in someone's hands. In which case, I pick this card in Doom's hand.

*points at the card in the middle and it vanishes*

Furthermore, Audin's passive allows me to summon two Jack of Flames. But I have yet to finish...

*places down two Jacks of Flames and Dwarven Forge*

I now merge a Jack of Flame and 7 of Breeze using the Dwarven Forge to create Thunder Berzerker! Able to embody the powers of Thor, he shall smite your serpent down! Yggdrasil shall only boost his attack even more despite the fact that it's withering.

A solid move...
But you cannot catch Jormungand without a bull's head on a fishing pole.
And in our case it has to be stuffed.
Let's see how you wizzle out of this.

Meanwhile, I'll play a different combination altogether...
Eleven of Spades!

*Actually produces eleven of spades*

Annnd... Solitude.
*Produces a blank card*

This is the Assasin's guild combination.
Kinda potent in mid-game. Especially, when the sun has been consumed.

*Tark casts doomgaze, dealing 600 physical divine damage to Copycat*
*It's a tripple overkill*
*Tark seems to have... leveled up?*

*looks surprisedly at his own cards*
Haven't played this strategy for a long while, for sure...

Hahahahah xD You fell into my trap. Tark levelled up because it's a side effect of the copycat's ability to take the form and abilities of the first thing that attacks it! You thought it an oversight that I didn't have a reflective barrier around my units? It's just that, in order to avoid making the card OP, it levels your card slightly. But do not worry. My next combination will ensure it's not in any way lacking.

*Copycat transforms into Tark the Stuffed Serpent*

Now to play my cards:

*Plays a card named Apoptosis*

With this card, I can play as many cards as the die I will roll now shows

*Rolls six sided die and gets 1*

What a shame NOT!

*plays a card named Illusion of Fate and then turns the die to show 6, removing the illusion of fate from the game afterwards (1)*

Now we are talking

*Plays a Mirror Barrier (2)*

Thank you for consuming the sun! Darkness is my domain!
Are your eyes playing tricks on you? *pauses for effect*
Are you watching closely?

*Plays the Tower of Glass (3)*
My centerpiece is on the battlefield!

*Plays a 4 and a 9 of Gaze (4 - 5)*

I have Gaunter O Dimm activate his mirror image ability.
*Chryos' Jack of Flames is copied, a reflection, an illusion made of smoke appears over my playing field.*

*puts the 4 and the 9 of Gaze into the Tower of glass*
Are you ready for this?

*Plays the ath-prefix=en">All Seeing Eye (6)*

Your tactics have been revealed, your dark intentions clear! @mamibo and @Chryosten , show me all the cards on your hand now!
*Draws another card*

Pfffff. Not bad. But divine physical damage persists through transformations, leaving your Tark with 150 hp.

Moreover, you want to see my cards? It's a usual poker deck! XD Plus, my strategy involves having no cards in hands, rather pulling them straight from the deck. But if you wanna see them, here they go. Usual cards.

I'm not denying it's a very good move, but it has its downsides.
Serpent Class Gods lose most powers when at below 50% health.
And darkness is my domain as well.

Let's see what Chryos does.

Well, to be honest, I hoped Chryos would hit me first, he had far more monsters over his side and it would be cool to change into, say, the Thunder Berserker. So you've got some regular cards like the 4 of hearts there. I assume your tactic is to change that into the type you would like to use It's nice not relying on cards on your hand but also unpredictable. You don't know what's in the deck and that may fail you at a critical point
