Try clicking on the rigs at the middle of them and you go into a screen to buy things. I haven't seen the screen you posted so I guess that is what happens for losing 3 times. The game work perfect for me.

You can't buy anything when you start the game with $0. It has nothing to do with losing 3 times - the game has never provided any money. The screenshots are on page 1 of this thread.
