well you should have added the fact that the girlfriend didnt force him. couldnt the girlfriend just say no? if he proposed and she said no, the man is not to blame.
anyway, the judge is stupid. im religious too and i just dont get why people cant keep their beliefs for themselves. how would the marriage help the ex-boyfriend anyway? this makes no sense at all but hey, its just one of many things that happen there...
seriously, the usa seems more and more like 2 different countries lol.
Now, many in our "modern" world are very very scared from the fast mouvment of our society. Traditionals act like marrige and attending a worship place help them to feel 'in touch', 'with foots on the ground'. This judge truely belive that marrige will fix this guy life! The old moudles of no-sex-befor-marrige and building a family befor you turn 30 are looked as signs for stability.
