REGISTRATION CLOSED!

Hello there! Welcome to the living hell that is Tulse's island. This place is mostly owned by 4 major factions where most of them force their citizens to live terrible lives. Your point here is...well...whatever you want it to be. You can go ahead and change the situation IF YOU WISH. This island is, in fact, your garden til the end of time. You might aswell just drink beer in a random tavern, but that wouldn't be alot of fun...or would it?

Here's how the island looks:

Lore and important info:

Tulse's Island is an...island...that has a magical dome all around it which doesn't allow anyone to see the island, detect it, hear it, e.t.c. Also this dome doesn't let anyone inside or outside the island, even if God himself would happen to get here somehow, he could never get out. Nobody knows how this dome got created or how someone even got on the island.

People here each have their own element, it really doesn't help much if you don't use magic, however, if you do, it makes the magic of the same element easier to learn. Technically everyone can learn any kind of magic, but using the magic of the same element as yours just makes everything easier.

And yes, there's magic in this island. Every person has this thing called 'Mana', which basically equals 'magical strength'. Mana is what magical spells drain from you when you use them, if you run out of it and keep using spells, they start draining your blood and lungs, which either immediately kills you, or does permanent damage to your body. Everyone has different amounts of mana, some have more, some have less, some don't have any mana at all. The only way you can tell how much mana you have is by using spells, which is rather risky. It regenerates automatically, most people can regenerate their mana within 3 minutes.

The more powerful the spell is, the more mana it drains.

The magic in this island ranges from simple fireballs to telekinesis to generating and enchanting all sorts of items. However, a lot of people try to refrain from using magic because it's a big risk. Here's why: Anyone can use any kind of magic, a fire elemental person can learn how to use water magic and dark can learn how to use light (though it takes longer time to learn it). The problem is that you don't know when you use too much until it has already drained all the life out of you or done permanent damage to you. Because of this, most people who try magic for the first time immediately die.

Speaking of mastering magic, it takes a while. Mastering magic of the same elements as yours can take weeks to master, mastering magic of different elements takes MUCH longer than that...

The game:

Now to the fun part: Your character will have the most basic RP profile setting possible. When you give me your character, I add a bit of plot to your situation and we continue from there.

Application sheet:

Location: [Choose a city or an area]
Money: [Don't fill this up]
Character's Name and surname: [Or just name if you can't come up with a surname]
Appearance: [Imagine needing to tell this to someone drawing your character]
Personality: [I'd love this to last at least 1 entire line]
Biography: [Your job, history, opinions of the current situation, hobby, any important people, any other kind of important information]
Element: [Choose one: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Lightning, Poison, Ice, Dark, Light, Physical, Void]
Magical skills: [Mention any magical skills you have]

Elements:

You may have noticed that there are 2 elements that differ from the usual ones. Light, wind, fire, and all of those look very usual and easy to understand, however, you may have some problems understanding these 2: physical and void elements. Let me explain:

Physical is the only element that doesn't have any magical skills that can be learned faster, meaning that no matter what the skill's element is, you will have to spend some time on it, however, people with the physical element
tend to be stronger than everyone else.

Void is an anti-magic element. It's used to destroy any kinds of magical enchantments, barriers, shields, particles, e.t.c. However it doesn't damage anything that's created by nature, this means that even though void destroys magic, it doesn't damage your physical body whatsoever, and considering that mages aren't very common to begin with, void can be announced as the weakest element of all.

Every element has a particular set of skills, technically you can use every element for every type of magic, you can use fire to heal, dark to create light, e.t.c., the only thing is that some elements are more effective for some kind of magic than others (for example, fire is better for fireballs, dark is better for making people blind, water, earth and light are better for healing).

Same elemental spells don't damage each other (Forexample light spells don't damage light elemental barriers and using fire against fire just makes more fire).
Exceptions: Ice doesn't damage water, water doesn't damage ice, physical can damage itself and void doesn't damage physical.

Factions:

Now the factions, you can choose which one you support the most by mentioning it in your biography or you can just not care about it at all...

Crusaders:

http://i.imgur.com/ITptdvZ.jpg

In the beginning they had the best of intentions, however, after their leader became powerful, he became arrogant and hypocrytical. Because of this he started forcing every citizen to pay monthly fees and do everything for him. People intended to leave the land, however, the Crusaders have been placed all throughout the frontiers making it impossible for the citizens to leave. The land overall has alot of treasure making it the second richest on the island.

The Crusaders are neutral with Clarity and enemies with Vermile's Empire and the Guardians.

They own around 50% of the sea area around the island.

Guardians:

http://i.imgur.com/Cpg0WiJ.jpg

The only faction that actually has good intentions. The purpose of Guardians is to evacuate every citizen in any warzone to their teritorry. They wish to save everyone from the war by taking all the land for themselves and then making sure nothing like this happens ever again. They have the biggest amount of people of all factions, however they don't have enough money to simultaneously defend themselves and keep all the people in the land alive, making them a very poor faction.

The Guardians are enemies with the Crusaders and Vermile's Empire and neutral with Clarity.

They've taken over land in a way that they can connect with all the other factions and making it possible for people to evacuate in their lands

Clarity:

http://i.imgur.com/aGjAsj6.jpg

The worst faction in terms of land, but the best in terms of diplomacy and money. They intend to get a friendly relationship with every faction and then take over their lands and people. They've already managed to become allies with Vermile's Empire and are currently trying to become allies with the Crusaders. Thanks to their diplomacy, they can travel through the lands of Vermile's Empire without any issues and that way they can communicate with each other on both sides of the island.

Clarity is allies with Vermile's Empire and neutral with the Crusaders and the Guardians.

Their land is split in 2 parts that are both located on both opposite sides of the island, that's why their priority is keeping a friendly relationship with Vermile's Empire so that both of the sides can communicate.

Vermile's Empire:

http://i.imgur.com/SXG77Mr.jpg

Vermile himself is good at leading and tactics. He owns almost 50% of all the land and has the strongest army. He considers Clarity as his puppets since they do anything he says and he allows them to travel through his large landscape in return. He intends to take all the land and money for himself. He uses most of his money for his and his army's well-being and weapons, does not spend money on food for his citizens, however, unlike Crusaders, does not force his people to pay monthly fees and work for him.

Vermile's Empire is allies with Clarity, unfriendly with the Crusaders and enemies with the Guardians.

Not only does he own almost 50% of the land, but 50% of the sea around the island aswell.

Other:

http://i.imgur.com/6pvGejn.jpg

This isn't really a faction, but more like a piece of land with a couple minor leaders who don't intend to take over anything. They have neutral relationships with all factions, allow them to pass through their land, but don't allow them to fight each other in that land. They mainly focus on keeping everyone on their land happy by keeping them as far away from any kind of war as possible, they're doing a somewhat good job at it.

This is the way factions are distributed on the map:

As you can see, cities like Scrive, Erglania, Brance, Sulde, Candove, Ettania and Aucenia suffer huge inconveniences because they happen to be right between factions that are enemies with each other, everyone living there is not happy and is trying to get away, however the armies of most of the factions don't allow them to.

Alot of questions you have about the plot, people, magic, e.t.c might get answered while you're in your journey.

So, to those of you who are still reading this...good luck...I guess...

"Drakonnan DarkHeart," I say "I suppose I should start then, When I was young boy, five or six I think, My parents died during a battle over this town, don't remember what factions were fighting. Anyway, Since I have been blind since birth no one wanted to take me in, given the fact that being blind makes you fairly useless for physical labor. Since then I have been living as an orphan just trying to make it day by day."

@Everyone

I spent a lot of time thinking if you, guys, should interact on this island with each other or not. I came to the conclusion that it depends on whether you want it or not, therefore, I want you all to answer this question:

If another player performs something with major consequences or he/she would happen to be in the same location as you, would you like them to influence your game?

Drakonnan DarkHeart (silver199)

"Well, I must say that your story isn't very special either. 10 years ago I used to have a wife and 2 children. My wife died from simply tripping while going downstairs, she hit her head against an edge from the stairs multiple times, lost consciousness and from the scars eventually bled to death. I came home, looked for her and saw her corpse just laying down there." he calmly says.

"A week later both of my kids died from a strange disease at around your age and I was left all alone. I fell into depression for a couple weeks until I realized and accepted that life simply moves on. Since then I've enjoyed everything I do. I opened a shop, made friends with tons of great people here and honestly I regret nothing." he says in a happy tone.

Time flies fast, you both talk til the sunset finally appears and the traveler arrives. He brings the products and the merchant gives you some of them for free.

Jake Nero (JACKinbigletters)

The 2 letters you're holding seem to be sent by 2 different factions. One of them is from Vermile's Empire and the other is from the Guardians. These 2 are both enemies of Crusaders, so the soldier's disgust can be understandable.

Zexed (wookie1196)

You use your wind and knock 3 of them off their feet. 1 of them manages to withstand the blast, he then pulls out a mace and has almost reached you. The one attempting to kill your boss got smashed against the wall and falls to the ground. The 2 soldiers you knocked down get up, pull out random weapons and continue charging at you.

"You know anything about these? I told these guys as much as I told you guys, I'm not interested..." I say opening the two letters on my counter so I can see them both.

Taking the items I thank the man and place most of the items into my pockets for later, I then eat some of the food as I work my way back to to place I found myself this morning to sleep for the night thinking upon what I will do next.

Right when you reach the place where you woke up, you're immediately grabbed by 6 soldiers out of nowhere. Considering you didn't even hear them, they most probably set up a trap and waited for you here. You hear one of them grabbing out a sword.

"Let's keep this simple, alright? We have no intention of fighting, we just need to deliver you somewhere!" says one of the soldiers with a confident voice.

Jake Nero (JACKinbigletters)

"Honestly, if they were threat messages, I wouldn't be surprised!" says Azel. The 2 letters you're holding in your hand seem kind of long. This is the one from the Guardians:

Hello, Jake Nero! We're well aware of your carelessness for factions as well as your troubles with them, however, we've received information from our spies, which say that if you keep disobeying the Crusaders for the next 4 days, they will, in fact, send 150 troops in your direction. This includes knights, bowmen, magicians and even catapults.

So, unless you think that you can defeat an entire army, we would like to offer you our aid. We have a fortress not away from your house that we would like you to enter at sunset to discuss this situation further. All we want in return is a friendly relationship with you.

The message from Vermile's Empire is slightly shorter:

Hello, Nero! Our spies have said that the Crusaders are willing to go all-out against you within the next 4 days. While it may be a perfect opportunity for us, it is a waste of your abnormal physical strength, therefore, we want you to come to Credd, our capital, within the next 2 days where you'll be safe from the Crusader legion. If you come to our purple castle there, we can offer you great rewards. We may have had some fights before, but now things have changed and you can be useful to us at once.

Basically, both of these letters say that the Crusaders will attack you very soon and they wish to assist you.

"Can you give me them?" says Azel in a slightly worried tone.

Zexed (wookie1196)

The soldier running towards you suddenly stops, turns around and goes for your boss once again. The shop owner then quickly runs inside, closes and locks the door while the Crusader is making huge holes in it using his sword.

I'll try to take a weapon from one of the downed soldiers, and then try to sneak up on the knight at the door

I pass the notes to him, "Yeah, those two trying to get me to fight for them, says your lot is planning on marching on me too, hundred and fifty troops they say." I say to my captive, "I'm not sure if they realize that where we're sitting currently is in the disputed part of the city, as in disputed by everyone, if they move an army towards this direction then you better believe that the others are going to do the same thing and then it's just going to be a blood bath between the organizations and I'll just be sitting pretty fighting anyone who comes onto my street. I knew the crusaders were stupid but I never expected them to go to This level of stupidity. Right, which arm do you eat with? Like which is your preferred arm to use?" I ask the soldier.

Zexed (wookie1196)

By the time you reach the soldier, he has managed to break the door your boss was hiding behind. He then turns around, sees you right next to him and trips. All of the sudden you notice a spear flying right by you from a couple meters behind you. It seems like 2 of the soldiers you blew off their feet have gotten back up and are attacking you once again.

Jake Nero (JACKinbigletters)

The soldier replies in an offended tone: "What? Why would you want to know that? Actually, why should I tell you any of my personal information to begin with? You're going to kill me so you may as well just do it now!"

Azel looks at the letters in confusion. After reading them once, he gives them back to you.

"Seems a bit strange, don't you think? You've been in a negative relationship with all these guys for your entire life, and now they want you to be a part of them, all of the sudden? Not only that. Now, I realize that the Crusaders are stupid, however, not this level of stupid. 150 troops? Just for someone disobeying? People disobey them regularly, sending 150 troops is just a plain, stupid overreaction, even against you!" says Azel.

"I think that this is some sort of a bluff. Someone has tried luring you into a trap. But if that's the case, why send 2 letters? Nothing makes sense here." he keeps saying as his face turns more and more confused.

The captive keeps looking at both of you and has the same confused facial expression as Azel has.

I look to the soldier, "I'm not going to murder you, if I wanted to I wouldn't have brought you back at all, wouldn't make sense. No I'm asking because I was going to break the other arm, make sure you still can eat with ease and all that. I'm not an ***." I say scoffing a little. "No, I just want you to go back to tell your Crusaders that if they were to do this then they are gonna have to deal with all the other factions as they send their armies along too. That's all really, also just tell them that I just want to be left out of the whole thing, I mean I know they have their reasons but like I don't want to get involved. Simple as that, but like if I Don't break one of your arms then they're gonna be like, "Oh he's gone soft, he's an easy target." and that would just cause more hassle for all of us. Got it?"

"Mayhap they finally realized that being on bad terms with me just isn't worth their time, I mean how many soldiers have I killed and wounded? It's just not economical to have this feud with me. But I think you're right, also didn't the letter say spellcasters, don't you guys not like spellcasters... Or am I thinking of some other group again...?" I say asking the soldier.

"But like who would want to trap me like that? What would be the gain?"

"Ok," I say in reply "But I would like to know where and why on the walk there. No need drag me there though, if you just lead me I will follow." Not really fighting back but just staying calm.

Jake Nero (JACKinbigletters)

"Break whichever hand of mine you wish. You will pay, regardless. If the Crusaders won't make sure it happens, then I will!" the soldier yells, ignoring your second question. He then spits on your foot.

"Well, considering we live in a part of the city where factions don't force us to pay monthly fees, we're definitely more wealthy than others. So the reason for someone wanting to capture you would most probably be plain money." says Azel.

Drakonnan DarkHeart (silver199)

"This kid knows how to behave!" says the soldier with the confident voice.

"We were told that he would be more stubborn, though!" replies someone in a more quiet tone.

"Well, Vermile didn't guarantee it, he just said that it would be safer if there were multiple of us, am I correct?"

"I guess..."

"Anyway, kid! We're here to transport you to Credd, our capital city. Apparently our leader, Vermile, has some sort information to tell you. We have no clue what it is, though. He did mention that you're not very fond of our faction, so we should bring more soldiers in case you wanted to cause problems. Now, let's go!"

Zexed (wookie1196)

The soldier that tripped kicks you as you approach him and you trip as well. The other 2 are only around 15 feet away from you, one of them pulls out another spear and throws it. The spear does a major scar on your left shoulder, but it hits the soldier on the ground directly in the head.

The scar on your shoulder is heavily bleeding up to a point where you get dizzy. It is only a matter of time before you pass out, however, you can still fight.

"I was trying to be civil for gods sake, humph..." I say as I move behind the soldier and attempt to break both his arms, "I was trying to be nice but you just had to be an *** about it didn't you."

I turn to my friend, "That's true but why target me, there are many many more people far wealthier then I am, and they wouldn't fight back, it doesn't make sense really. I mean everyone that knows me, Knows me, you know what I mean?"
