There was this one game that i remember playing, but forgot its name. You played as a demon, who was killed and resurrected. You had to take back the territories that you had lost while dead, building back up your empire from scratch, facing off against human lords and heroes. the combat was turn based and you could upgrade different towns with buildings. I've been searching for the game for a few hours and cant find it. a name for it would be helpful. Thanks.
scratch hands of war, not turn based. Rise of Champions is VERY similar to what you're talking about. It's the multiplayer version of Legend of the Void 1 & 2
