Whenever I leave the Zombidle game on a certain level, I come to find it on a different level.
The developers added an auto-progression feature, where your game will progress even though you are offline. This has positives and negatives. The developers have stated that they hope to add a toggle switch for this in the game at some point.
Read up. It is not a bug, it is a feature.
