Python have a PyGame library. Its easy to install, use and allows creation of 2D games.
PyGame website got links to free PDF's with complete tutorials and how to's of creation simple games.
hi I make games in HTML but most of them are still a working progress
but I know some people that make games that aren't on this website(some of them are tho)
