doing well [do ing well]; state of mind, progress, reply;

# General state of mind when life is continuing at a normal pace; a person has had no worries, but also experienced no big achievements for a while; they are content with the current way things go. # During a task one can feel they are 'doing well' and have the feeling a certain goal at the end of the task is going to be reached; there are no major setbacks and progress slowly shows. # General reply given upon being asked how someone 'is doing' at that moment; the reply tells that they are satisfied with their overall feeling.

Dive In Verb, metaphor.

# Literally diving (headfirst) into a body of water, i.e. a lake or swimming pool. # To give a task or project all you have, your full attention and effort, sometimes to the point of neglecting other things. # Entering a situation without thinking it through, often making promises without knowing what one is getting into.
