This walkthrough is on how to beat Warlords, using any race.

Initially, you want to buy the halberdier as soon as possible and make sure you upgrade halberdier and spear attack stats. For other stats, it's recommended to upgrade your armour stats, sword stats and axe stats. Axemen should be bought if your race has a speed bonus, such as the demons or mountain trolls, since the axemen are built for driving back the enemy, strength and speed.

The reason is there's a strategy that involves these units. What you want to do when you have access to both of these units, you want to place 8 halberdiers in one lane, as well as 8 spear units in that same lane. The reason is because when the halberdiers are stopped or pushed back by enemy units, they will start to group together, and as result, when they attack, they will do immense damage due to how many halberdiers are attacking at once. Also, enemy units will mainly focus on the lane that has 8 halberdiers and 8 spearman since it's the strongest lane and has the most units. After you place those units in the same lane, you can start placing spearmen in other lanes because the enemies will be focused on one lane, and if their not, there will be too many of your spearman breaking through their defences. This strategy works especially well with the Human Alliance, Demon Race or the Undead Race due to the spear and speed bonus stats for the demon race, the overall armour bonus for the human alliance and the 3 bonus halberd stat for the undead.

There is a weakness to this strategy, which is ranged units like the archer and the mage, due to either very good damage or high amounts of range. There is a counter for them, which is the spearmen you place, because they'll soak up damage once they get in front of the halberdiers and their fast, which means they can catch up quickly.

Once you get use that strategy, you can place spearmen in other lanes to increase your chances of reaching the other side.

Defeat Vorth, the capital of the Demons, is recommended to do early, even though it's the hardest to do, because the halberdier and spearmen strategy works well against their mounted spearmen and mounted halberdiers as well as spearmasters and other units.

King's guard (Human alliance) is one of the best units in the game due to it's high armour and great damage.

Giant Troll (Mountain Troll) is considered the best unit in the game since it can plow enemies down very easily and still retain high hp.

The strongest units of any race should always be q charged, especially the king's guard and giant troll.

If you don't have halberdiers yet, try fighting the weak countries first to gain enough money to buy the halberdiers.

Archers don't really need to be used against halberdiers since you can easily kill them with units like the swordsman, mage, or any very strong unit. Mounted units are not recommended against halberdiers since halberdiers are very good against them.

The Marksman stat doesn't need to be upgraded because you rarely every need to use either mages or archers. The only reason you would need mages is for the giant trolls, since they have very high hp.
