yea wat if sony and microsoft worked together? THEY COULD CREATE SOMETHING TO LET XBOX PPL PLAY WITH PS3 PPL ONLINE (LOL...MAYBE?)

Sony will not go out of business because
1. They sell other things besides ps3s
2. Bluray

I think it would be bad if the worked together, as there would be no competition (save Nintendo, but a lot of people either buy ps3 and wii or 360 and wii), thus they'd have no motivation to create more innovative things. But I could be wrong of course they still could, but I don't think they'd be as creative if they weren't able to one up each other... but there's always Nintendo who never ceases to amaze...

That could be possible. It'll be cool if they made a console that the two worked together on. And it'll be even more cooler if Nintendo Microsoft and Sony worked together on a console, it could maybe be the best of all-time.

Uuuh I don't Think PS3 will go down hill - Many games are coming out for it now...so more people will buy it because more games! But wait this isn't related to the Topic.

This is Sony + Microsoft Working together. not Who's gunna die first...

If they did it might me called XStation360 or somethin like that

Except, the internet and products sold would be worthless on the 360 and they'd be broke. fail idea.

To add the PS3 to the Xbox family is kind of like adding a paper airplane to the US Air Force. Afterwards, everyone says, "WTF?"

meh, its true, i doubt playstation 4 will ever happen. mybe they'll make another system, but it wont probly wont be a playstation. chances are it'll have a new name, because playstation is tainted by the PS3s epic failness.

PS4 is about the last thing i want to hear of in 2012 and i dont wanna hear Xbox 540 cause these names are getting old THINK OF A NEW NAME ALREADY! i think they are too lazy to do so

And I don't think the 360 in XBox 360 is just there to sound cool. The 64 in Nintendo 64 is because it was a 64 "bit" system, capable of holding 64 bits of data. I think the 360 is a 360 "bit" system. So I doubt that the 540 will be the name, or even the 720.
