I can believe this kind of thing actually happens, given the lengths I and people I know have gone to previously...let's say there's a reason it's called farming in RPGs. And powergaming.
But I have one issue here. I never remembered how long each round was- I remember it seemed to get a lot longer as time went by, or maybe that was the map. I just imagine that it would simply take too long to do 1000 nights if one didn't go right back to Glendale or whatever the first map was.
That, and I definitely don't have the time ._. I already wasted enough time getting the N.U.K.E in Thing-Thing 4.
It actually happened, and I have more screenshots of various days and the places I went to confirm it - I also noticed the 'longer' thing you speak of, I tried to count the zombies at first and see a pattern but it got so chaotic that I couldn't keep up - I even tried timing the rounds but it became such a chore I simply gave in and mindlessly grinded towards my goal, I'm hoping the maker of the game eventually stumbles onto this thread and gives me some feedback on how it actually works because to me alot of it is random. Also the days dont get longer, atleast it didn't appear to me to be that way, but depending on the area you stop it increases in difficulty by sending the zombies out 2-3 at a time instead of one at a time. For example, the first area is a toolstore with doors - The zombies generally spawn one by one so you can stand a chance with a pistol but sometimes packs of 3 fast zombies or even dogs would come... So I honestly don't know how it works, all I know I have the time and modivation to grind out to 999 days - just wish I had had the stamina at the time!
Also, the whole way images work on this board is very inconvient! I played at 1440x900 resolution (How? http://armorgames.com/files/games/the-last-stand-2-1443.swf )so all my screenshots are widescreen - where as the forum crops my screenshots down to only the first few inches. =/
