I have been noticing a lot of poetry on the site recently, and I thought it would be nice to have a friendly little poetry competition. There will be a weekly theme, and the entries will be judged by one of the moderators or administrators. This week's theme will be "Water." The deadline is Saturday, August 2nd. The winner will be awarded 25 Armor Points.

Hey quick question for whoever, I've only just barely joined this site and I was wondering how do you change your picture?

I left an answer on your page.

Only copied apostrophes, is that seriously original?

The apostraphies that come from Microsoft word do that too. So its probably copied from Miscrosoft Word.

When stuff is transferred over, only certain symbols create that error code. So if apostrophes are not one of those things that transfer well, those symbols would come up at every apostrophe.

Haikus go by the syllables of 5, 7, and 5...

Anyways, I will write one up.

The River Of Life

Life is like a river that slowly ends,
of course there are bends.
Sometimes it runs fast or slow,
you just have to be ready to go with the flow.
You can only see so far up ahead,
more will be visible when you get out of bed.
Pollution can destroy your river of life,
just like a disease in your husband or wife.
The direction you will steer,
can give you sadness or cheer.
A broken river can always mend,
but you never know when that river will end.

Do Work

Sure days go by,
where theres not to be
a cloud in the sky
the children run and have fun
the a then a new day has begun.

The days grow shorter,
the fun is over,
The parent, teachers or bosses say
do work son. do work.

does that have to do with work enough??

Starts have their beginning.

Enjoy!

To exert energy,
and attain a certain goal.
Cooking up some food,
throw the salad in a bowl.
Fight the hot sun,
resist the negative force.
every start has an end,
stay on the road and keep your course.

Work it out, push it hard,
to finish, you have to begin.
Gather your thoughts, collect your power,
hone your chi within.

Give to receive,
work to get paid.
your family needs support,
one thing you can't betray.
For glory for power?
Something you can't fall into.
Starts have their beginning,
but work gets you through.
