I have been noticing a lot of poetry on the site recently, and I thought it would be nice to have a friendly little poetry competition. There will be a weekly theme, and the entries will be judged by one of the moderators or administrators. This week's theme will be "Water." The deadline is Saturday, August 2nd. The winner will be awarded 25 Armor Points.
Your poem is one of short and sweet. Im not gonna be around, I may be gone for up to two weeks..
@Estel What in hell have you been doing? you just jumped well over 5,000 AP in a 1 to two day period, unless I am hallucinating! That should definately be considered. I mean, wood squire to gold knight? 13 Merits 483 game comments and 174 games rated. Well well..
@Klaushouse I have no Idea what to think of that. seriously, besides that it's hard to read and is a bit chunky it's fine.
@Kingryan
Best out of us. Probably. I look forward to seeing competetion and may add on to my entry.
Good luck Ya.
Could some1 msg me if i win. I probably won't find it.
And also, I motion the next contest should be on hardships of emotional or monetary issues. Broad issue that really requires thought and deeper emotions.
What are you talking about? I just got over 2,00Ap, and I've gotten that over a two month span. 483 game comments? Those are just regular comments, AND game comments.174 games rated? I've only got a bit over 100. What have you been looking at?
I would beg to differ about being forced... taking art classes, you are often given a subject and asked to elaborate. What the artist *does* with that subject shows their true skill. If they are able to manipulate the subject into something they believe to be valuable, that shows a great deal of creativity.
Haha, the theme of this week is water, and the only thing you did to relate was make a simile between love and water. I don't really think it will count, but it's up to Ubertuna.
Estel, yeah, I though on that, and eventually became weird.
But notice one thing, in the end, if the ultimate conclusion of this poem is that love is pure as water, the poem that seems to be about love, you can almost replace love for water, and it kinda have some sense on it. It's ok if doesn't count, I had fun doing it.
The water flows threw the river bank as it goes to the new filled tank refreshing the mind and even the soul keeping me alive without a toll The ocean pollution is ruining the earth no more water that will break for birth I hope for nothing more than the suns rays along with a fresh glass of water to stay
One last wish before I go as long as I let you know chances will come and go as long as you keep the water flow
