This is one of my favorite movies, now.
I saw it just a few nights back, the 10:00 p.m. showing. I left the theatre at 1:40 a.m.
It was long, and it was awesome.

I would not be surprised if Heath Ledger won an Oscar posthumously. His portrayal of The Joker was absolutely stunning.
Christian Bale was not to be shown up, though, and put on a hell of a show as Batman, though he was, in the end, outdone by Heath.

I HIGHLY recommend seeing this movie as soon as possible. Although, I must warn, if you have don't like a little gore or have a soft stomach, I do not suggest seeing it. Also, this is not the Batman movie children should be watching.

Now... *********SPOILER*****************SPOILER**********

My favorite scene from the movie is toward the beginning, after you see that the Joker and some of his minions have robbed a bank. There is a meeting with a bunch of obviously high up crime lords. Organized crime bosses all meeting in some basement. There is some talking about money being stolen and you learn a little bit about the plot, but the real fun starts when the Joker walks in and announces he was the one that stole all the money from them. One of the bosses sitting at the table tells one of his henchmen to go and take care of the Joker. The Joker tells them he will show them a magic trick and pulls out a pencil. He says he will make the pencil disappear, and puts the pencil on the table, holding it up, point toward the ceiling. The henchman walks over the Joker, the Joker grabs the henchman's head, slams it down on the pencil and let's his body fall to the floor. The pencil is obviously now gone, as it is lodged in the henchman's brain and the Joker says, "Taa-daa!"

Ahh, the gruesome humor! This movie was absolutely amazing. Go see it.

I think the movie is just starting to come out in other countries though so that is why it still has a chance. Also, movies can still make millions of dollars weeks after the opening.

Also, IMAX won't help too much. Only a handful of theaters can afford IMAX power.

Well from day 10 to day 11, the box office for Dark Knight rose over $100 million so it is definitely possible. Once the next weekend passes, I am sure it will easily be over $1 billion and maybe even $1.5 billion.

Heath Ledger will win the oscar for best supporting actor. if he doesn't than one, the greatest movie ever must be produced by the time the oscars roll around or two i will be forced to kill someone.
I saw that at the midnight showing before heading off to russia for 11 days and i'm SOOO glad i did. I'm sure its the only thing that has been talked about since i left...but i haven't gotten to discuss it as of yet. Now i and the rest of the world will miss heath ledger..."wanna see a magic trick?"

I thought about this the other day. Don't you guys think the ending was pretty stupid. Here is how I think the exact ending should have went. *SPOILERS*

I think someone should have said to 2 face when we didn't know he was 2 face, "We are so sorry about your loss." Then, it cuts to the Joker and somehow the Joker dies. I'm not sure how though. Then, 2 face reveals himself and says, "You wish you were" or something like that.

I think it would lead perfectly into another Batman movie. I just thought most of the ending wasn't needed. I also hated how 2 face pretty much died. I am not knocking the movie but the whole movie built up to this awesome ending and then it sort of tapered off.

I'm pretty sure 2 face actually died. But i have to say, it was keith ledger that made the movie.

That's what I figured. I think it would be stupid if they made a sequel with him since he did die in Dark Knight. Also, the joker's name is Heath Ledger.

I loved this movie but it was too long.

I think this is correct. The ending should have been when 2 face was in the hospital so there could be an awesome sequel.

I thought it was great. And two-face is one of my favourite Batman characters, so I wished it would've ended when he was in the hospital so we would've gotten a sequel with him as a main villain.

I can't wait for the next one, Johnny Depp will probably be a better Riddler than Jim Carrey, although I liked him alot.

This movie takes the fourth spot in my top 5.
