What is the greatest rock album ever? in your opinion, of course. There is no real answer. By the way, please put the album title in bold.

I think it is phobia by breaking benjamin

I totally agree with bbyers9113. I'm honestly not even that big a stairway to heaven fan. Actually the ocean is my favorite right now.

of course lennon is rock... what do you think he's country or rap or somethin?

i like both the floyd albums above (i have them all) but my favorite by them is The Division Bell. I fought myself for a while not to include the last 2 albums of theirs because they were without Roger. but then i figured, all their good ones were without Syd, so I just figured it's the pink floyd entity, and i love it.

If metal is considered a part of rock in this thread creators opinion...than "Colors" by Between The Buried And Me

if not,
than "Houses of the Holy" by Led Zeppelin or
"IV" by Led Zeppelin or
"Exit...Stage Left" by Rush

thingthingfreak, its total bs, u can't hear anything but garblygoop unless you have the "lyrics" in front of you, and even still its hard to pick out. Its just an illusion of the mind...

It's hard to pick out the best rock album of all time, but I do have some candidates

Led Zeppelin - 'Led Zeppelin IV' and 'Physical Graffiti'
Eagles - 'Hotel California' and 'One of These Nights'
Foreigner - 'Double Vision' and '4'
Rush - 'Moving Pictures' and 'Permanent Waves'
Van Halen - 'Van Halen' and '1984'
