We should not be worrying about blonde jokes. Most people just say they are stupid which is not true. Yes, there are some dumb blondes but there are also dumb brunettes and redheads. The jokes we should be worrying about are the racist jokes. There are many of those floating around and you can't just say they are a joke. I will quote one that I heard a while ago. "Why do black people have nightmares? It's because we shot the one who had a dream." Personally, I think that is a big insult to Martin Luther King Jr. and all other African Americans. Those jokes are much more harsh than blonde jokes.
Well, for how harsh they are, it'll all depend on what the blond people thinks of them. If they aren't offended, then it's okay, if they are, then it's not.
I think they're funny, it just depends on how the person takes them. They're not meant to insult most blondes, just the blonde stereotype, which isn't as common as most people think.
If we make a joke about God, a Cristian might be insulted, because it's sacred to him... if you make a joke about the Lakers, a fan might be insulted, because it's sacred to him in his own way... and on and on, this to say that a joke has always a harsh side, because there's always something to make fun of, so, or we don't joke about anything, or we chill out and take this as a pure joke, pure joy. Same goes to blonde jokes.
But those that TotalReview referred, those are the real ones to extinguish. They just prove that we're still primitives and a violent race... time for the next step.
Good point TomasLacerda, however, I heard of a comedian who tried to do a show without saying a joke which mau insult someone. Not a single person laughed.
I hate political correctness SO much. I'm bisexual and I use the word "gay" and the f-word (the derogatory one towards gays) ALL the time. Black friends of mine use the n-word. Mexican friends of mine use racist terms against themselves. I use these words around them and they don't care... in fact they laugh. I had a female roomate and I would joke about how she should cook and clean for me. But in the end, guess what!? IT'S A JOKE!
It's the hardcore conservatives that make us hate gays, people of other races, and feminists. It's the hardcore liberals that are offended by any jokes. Everyone needs to sit back, relax, and not get so damn offended by everything.
I am blonde. I dont mind blonde jokes, simply because they are just that...JOKES. If I were to take them personally, then I would be identifying myself with the person doing the silly thing the joke is about. I can have a laugh as well as anyone.
(On a side note, if I ever DID take offense to one...hair dye is NOT out of the question.)
