A little bit of a Report I found of PS3 or Xbox360
Today, Sony returned the favour. With interest.
Looking at the content of the two conferences today in Los Angeles - and the MTV special last week, in the case of Xbox 360 - "outclassed" is a word that comes to mind a lot. The bar which was set by Microsoft last week has not only been met, it has been vaulted over. PlayStation 3 is more powerful, more fully featured, more innovative and better supported than Xbox 360. When the Sony conference kicked off, we expected to see something "a bit better" than Xbox, technologically. We didn't expect to have our most fundamental beliefs about what next-generation games will be capable of changed. That, however, is exactly what happened.
I don't want to beat on Microsoft too hard, because ultimately there are still quite a few Xbox 360 games I'm looking forward to; but it's hard not to feel that suddenly, Microsoft's hip lingo and celebrity endorsements seem to ring very hollow. Where Microsoft gave us Elijah Wood babbling through a half hour marketing-led special on MTV, Sony had us watching Phil Harrison show off jaw-dropping interactive tech demos on stage. Harrison is about as far from being a hobbit as you can get - I'm not kidding, the man's a giant - and Ken Kutaragi is unlikely to ever have as many screaming fans as The Killers, but Sony seemed to feel that its new console spoke for itself. It didn't need celebrity endorsements, or senior executives trying to be "down with the kids" - thank god.
It's not that Sony would have problems rounding up some impressive celebs if they so desired. Sony Pictures, Sony Music and the PlayStation brand itself could have called out half of Hollywood today. Instead, we got to see a game console that feels genuinely next generation. We weren't told how "cool" a random American sports star thinks PlayStation 3 is, we were told how astonishingly powerful it is and how incredibly feature-packed it is. We're not just talking about a console that's twice as powerful as Xbox 360 in simple, logical terms (and bear in mind that that's a far, far greater gap in power than existed between PS2 and Xbox); we're talking about a console with more functionality, with fewer corners cut and with a genuinely more impressive line-up of software.
If the day could be summed up in a microcosm, it would be Square Enix' story that explained events best. Yoichi Wada, the firm's president, made two stops today. At the Sony conference, he was one of many developers presenting stunning tech demos - in his case, a truly stunning real-time recreation of the opening to Final Fantasy VII, using characters almost as high quality as those seen in the forthcoming Advent Children movie. Within a matter of hours, he had another stop to make - this time with a headline billing at the Microsoft conference, where he revealed that Square Enix will be supporting Xbox 360... With the release of a four year old massively multiplayer game that's already available on PS2 and PC.
Outclassed? Undoubtedly. Sony's hardware, its software, and even its simple display of confidence in its own product have completely outclassed Microsoft today - but while there can be little doubt about the outcome of this particular battle, it'd be a foolish man who assumed that the war was over yet. What Sony has done unto Microsoft today, Microsoft did unto Sony not so many years ago - and software giant is unlikely to take a defeat at E3 lying down. This tug of war has a long way to go yet.
craker writing idiot is a thing you must NEVER do in the AG forums, cursing anothers person is one of the worst crimes you can do here.
and "that ps3 got better games" is not really a lasting arguement, since there are games on the xbox(all games published by the bastards microsoft) are really good, talking about gears of war, mass effect, and halo 3(I HAVNT EVEN TRYED IT AND IM LIKE THE GREATEST FAN!!!) actually i cut off a deal with my buddy, so that he gets my ps3 and i get his x360 then he gets halo 3 and i get kingdom hearts, when time comes
i think its also wrth mentioning, that the ps3 has, and here comes some techical stuff one of the most powerfull GPUs(graphical proccesing unit) on the market and it has 2 quadcored processors(ergo 8 cores) which is un parraleled proccesing power. problem is, that theres only one game in the world that has the technical complexity to take full use of 8 cores(and it dosnt even use it that much): Crysis. as you all know, crysis the the most complicated game yet created, the no affordable(ie -1200£ computer that can take it over 50 frames per second. and crysis is only sceduled for ps3 later.
lol to be honest the real question is who hates the Wii??? lol i know i do. I can't rlly believe someone so ignorant as the creator of this forum would have the balls to do it lol. The PS3 has the best graphic quality on the market. As well as the fact that all the new games are fnally coming out for the ps3. I'm sry but CerealkillerX you got screwed on this end of the deal. Your gonna have to return the system once a year due to the Death ring.... ====> honestly this is only becuz microsoft had to put it out on time, not to mention the first set out sucked balls and had to be return due to too many disc melting situations.... Instead the ps3 came out as expected, with no virsuses or anything like that. PS3 has new generation gaming, Xbox does not.... Xbox is yesterdays junk, ps3's the new future platform...
ya and cracker you suck massive balls.... get off of this forum. someone flag his ass.... As well dude how old are you cracker like 5? You mommy still doesn't want you to play games??? lol might hurt your lil head or sumthing... Man grow up, and get a pair of balls.... BTW ps3 can be running for a whole week without overheating... I know cuz i've had it on for 2 weeks while trying to beat a game lol..... So i'd like to see a 360 do that
xbox 360 is just amazing and beats ps3 because there is such a large online community that you could problably still find people playing pocketbike racer and big bumpin online but i like halo3 online the best =)

you cant hate the ps3 its a great system with lightweight controlers and a n incredible sileint system its good for hard core gamers and has alot of costomizablity besides most of what it has is free so there no real extra cost if u hate the ps3 u probably dont have one and your just sad
I have all 3 consoles, PS3, 360 and the Wii, and all I use the PS3 for is a footrest, its about all its good for, and I'm not sure how the PS3 is for the "Hardcore gamers" when it has barely any games compared to the 360, the 360 controllers are a lot more comfortable because they fit into the hand al ot better, the PS3 ones are to small for my hands and annoy me, and a lot of my friends are the same, the graphics for the PS3 have a barely noticeable difference to the 360.
and the Wii, well thats definately a console for family/friends.
Wallexx.. either you have rlly big hands or your a midget... (since they got big hands) lol. The xbox controller is all bulky, and for sum reason has a white and black button... like wtf??? just putting that in there for randomness or sumthing lol. Most ppl hate the ps3 cuz of the cost... But i got all three also... For some reason ive noticed the huge climb in ps3 games and the decline of xbox 360 games being made.. This is honestly a personal forum.... And ten bucks says wallexx, you don't have a ps3. Cuz you'd be using it alot more than a foot rest. You can all argue about which has btr games, but the truth is that ps3 has more hard drive space, easier way to download content. Easier way to access online feature, and for a way less cost. Not to mention the high intensity of graphics. 1080i destroys any xbox games graphics. And im sry but halo is such a horrible game.. It has the most stupidest story line, and its pretty much meant for those ppl who game all the time (or in otherwords NERDS). There may be alot more games for Xbox, but the only truely good games that xbox only has that the ps3 doesn't would be GOW1 and 2, Bioshock (maybe), and thats it... Im sry but the fact is PS3 does have less games, but all of them own, and have great graphics. I got all three and i must say i only play xbox when my friends want to play online with them. I sometimes play wii when some friends are over... (its a useless platform, as all u do is swing ur stick and you will pretty much win) The ps3 i play almost all the time..
