That's a rather silly question, it's Sonic of course. He was the sole character in the original games (the better ones)

the obvious answer is sonic

In the original ones it was pretty cool that tails could fly, and knuckles could glide. I'd have to go with one of them, but I always liked playing as knuckles so I'll go with him.
