If you haven't heard of it, or played it, I highly recommend it. Its a RPG/TPS for the Xbox and PC. The player is essentially immersed in a sci-fi novel.
Bioware makes it, they are known for Baulder's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, and many others. They have a knack for balanced story-driven gameplay where the player's choices can have drastic effects on the plot. They also offer a great deal of configurable weapons, armor, and other items, that give it a great deal of replay value.
The game is part 1 of a three-part series. Also, there's already two novels that take place around the fringes of the storyline. IMHO, it's a game just about any player can sink their teeth into and enjoy playing through more than once. Its even got a couple tastefully done sex scenes, depending on the player's gender, and which characters he/she chooses to bond with.The game has won a ton of awards too.

I like it, loved SWKOTOR. The menues on the 360 is lame. And the game is uneven in the difficulty settings, But its so big an lovely, so I love it. Pardon the bad grammar, Im not fluent in english writing.
its pretty awesome if you get to the middle of it. its a pretty short game if you dont play the assignments though.Im a sentinel in Mass Effect, pretty cool at long range, i replayed it and its lvl 54
Mass Effect is by far one of the best rpgs ever it combines the unique space idea with combat on ground and a very deep storyline Cant wait for the second one to come out and yes there will be a second one
