How can you compare Skate 2 to gta 4, mercenaries and saints row? Now don't get me wrong I love those games to, I especially love mercenaries and am looking forward to the next one, though I wish the character had a parachute, like in Just Cause, that would rule. Anyway, as I was saying those games are two different types, skating and a shoot 'em up, action/adventure game. It depends on taste I guess, and damn good taste.
Well, as its name suggests, it's a skating game. May think its better than any tony hawk game, I believe this too. Skate allows you to have the freedom of virtual skating with a massive map to explore and skate up and no tedius button mashing. It uses a flickit control system where the right analog stick is pushed in certain directions to perform tricks, for example an ollie(jump) would include pulling the stick back and then pushing it forward quickly. This simulates, to some extent, actualy being on a skateboard. It is an awesome skating game and SKATE 2 will have all that and what I said in my first post in this thread aswell. By the way, a line is a sequence of tricks strung together (performed at the same time) or performed quickly after each other. Or with other tricks in between, such as manuals.
