This would be a good idea, if you could disable it. Like fst6 said, but the creator can turn it off when he wants!

They have this on many sites and it's never worked. It's annoying.

Nah, this is kind of useless, maybe a quick reminder icon next to the logged in space may work though.

I agree, this is useless. Just go back to that topic and see how many people replied. It would be easier this way, but it's only like 5 seconds of extra work.

This would be really annoying, some people start topics like "The Lyric Game" that get upwards of 600 posts on it. They would be swamped by E-mails, and is it really causing you so much grief to have a quick skim through whatever forum for your topic? That's what I do.

Actually just to clear things up how it usually works is if you post something and get a reply it sends one e-mail and never again until you post again. Won't send 600 but just 1 everything you post and get a reply after your post.

I think instead of an email it should be a message on ur profile.

You are basically asking for thread subscriptions, a suggestion that is listed in the "Common Site Suggestions" section.

Also, like almost every other feature, you'd probably have the option to disable it. Don't think it would be forced on you.

Kinda good Idea but really really spammy, and what if your topics like sticky? your inbox would explode. Meg I never check my email anyway.

like programpro said a message on your profile would be better, other wise your email wuold be filled with spam.

Well, i have comment notification on, and i get maybe 12 messages a week. But my threads are all really HUGE. SO, i wouldn't use this feature.

I think it's an awesome idea if you have the option to disable it! It would be great for me cause I always lose my topics and when I can find them I often check.
