I made it to the first hard level on the game, with the badgers and mushrooms come one by one. I can only make it to Level 7 though! =( Anyone have any hints or tips? I always upgrade my mages to Poison Inflictors, as the badgers' and mushrooms' weakness is poison. I never train Knights, and I start building up my units from the middle, as they come from either side of the map. Thanks, I hope someone can help me out. I'm really determined to beat that level.

@wulfer42:
For me I didn't use the slow mages lol, pure straight forward Infectious Mages. I nearly died but did it

@tenkouakagi:

The way i beat Path to Shoreview was actually with only two mages. That way they collect all the XP. Focused on poison only. All the way. Only the poison effect did dmg, and i spent some points in the general menu so i got more lives. Needed a couple on the 9th wave.

My guess would be using an easier difficulty.

Theres a link on cocak.blogspot.com, to an amazing protector guide. It never failed me, and the strategies, well most of them, even work on hardcore

For all who want to know:

Easy?:

One poison mage in the middle of the row near where all the enemies spawn. JUST ONE. Then follow these upgrades. He will become a legend, literally.

Level 2: Poison
Level 3: Infect
Level 4: Specialism
Level 5: Inflictor
Level 6: Large Increase
Level 7: Specialism
Level 8: Large Increase
Level 9: Holy

Well, I need help too. I'm on the third level on hard. I always get to the last couple of levels but die out. I have at least half Knights at physical and berserker with Fire and Poison mages with Cripple and Specialism.

For Easy?, just train your knights into Archers, they kill the Bzzzzt! in one or two hits.

This is what worked for me. I placed poison mages all around the outside and energy elemental warriors in the center (to hit the final boss). Used skill points to add extra lives and to get the Destruction mage option. The two mages closest to the entrance/exits went down the inflictor path and all others went down destruction. I paved a couple of spots in the corners where they weren't taking any damage for additional mages and also added a couple of extra spots for warriors in the center.

u don actually have to waste any golds towards mage for not so vast forest....

just create warriors that can atk 6 slots and make them poison consecrated tactician...

it works just as fine...and if ur worried about ur life...put some points to hardy and tough...

i ended the game with 6 warriors with ferocity and poison with hardy and tough...

u will get more than enuf money if u need to pave or stuff and to add more warriors...
