I believe Oblivion is better due to graphical and gaming reasons. On Fable, you can do many things, from stealing dresses to killing skeletons. But, on Oblivion, you can do the above, but ALSO you can do much more. Allow me to make a list. The following are things you can do IN GAME on Oblivion over Fable: TLC (by IN GAME , I mean this has nothing to do with graphical or technical):
Jump...
Do non-important skills, such as Alchemy and Armory.
Take 99/100 objects you see.
Enter tilde (~) commands (NOT CHEATING!!! >).
There is more explorable area, and side quests, on Oblivion.
There are more Choices of armor and weapon on Oblivion.
Move objects with the "Havok" (r) system.

I don't know why, but some people believe Oblivion isn't as great as Fable. I Disagree. Post your opinions. Oh and btw, don't post if you have never played one of them, or if you have played "Morrowind" but not "Oblivion", as Oblivion as a kajillion times better.

It's hard to say which is "better". Whether a game is good or not is completely arbitrary. Both have rich story lines, let you play your way, and are almost endlessly re-playable. I like that Oblivion had expansion packs, but I liked how Fable lets you get married, and has an adjustable story. Both games have something the other doesn't have.

yes. this is why i said " Express your opinion". It is not a debate, just the fact that both are enjoyable games, and this is for you to explain weather or not you like this one more than the other, or not, and why. Thanks for posting

i sort of like 3rd person better because you could see better around you so i would choose Fable.

Well Oblivion is too imaginary, Fable is very cool but imaginary. I would say Fable.

I like Oblivion much better due to the high graphics that are added. There is so much content that it is addicting and fun 2 play.2rd Person just makes you feel like your the person.Id give it a ten out of ten.

Never played fable, but Oblivion is my favorite game of all time. The best game i have ever played by far, i wont even go into detail.

oblivion is in 3rd person MechanizedGrinder...

well it can be in third person or first person, u can switch between them whenever u want. and i like first person better actually. u feel closer to the character, like u rly are him and not just controlling him. i mean thats what oblivion is about right? u R this person. u make a name for YOURSELF. thats whats so great about the game. and again i have never played/seen anybody play fable, so i have no idea what its like.

Both the games rock! I love them both for different reasons, Fable has a great style and the alignment system makes the game more replayable and personal. Oblivion has much more in it to do, but I think has less varied customisation. Maybe include families, houses, owning shops like you can in Fable into Oblivion and it would rock!
