Halo because it has the best multiplayer system ever in the hisory of the human race. Story line was awesome. But COD4 was a fun game but still Halo 3 deserves it.

I agree and disagree. Halo DOES have the best multiplayer system, but I like COD4's story vs. halo's. I also think that COD 4 has a better control layout as well.
wow.. I really dislike Halo. VERY overated, and the ppl who say it's the best game ever, have usually only played Halo. You know there are a lot of games that play just like halo, and are free. There are also many MMORPG games, that I find really fun to play. Most free MMOs online, have just as good, if not better graphics than games that cost money. Halo is only big because a Big name company over advertised it, and hooked the easily influenced. Just like how Rap and Hip Hop crap is only like because it's becoming the only thing on the radio.
People learn to look things up before you buy, you'll find that your games will be much better.
O, and I'm not surprised that Halo Won. To many people hype it up so everyone buys it, Sooo they make more money from that game. there for the game wins the award.
I still laugh that Bungie is no longer owned by Microsoft.
