For the description, you can do both.

As for being a fire Mage, you cannot do that until you become a high level mage. So your just an ordinary mage, and you can only wear a robe, not a red one. Well, it could be coloured red, whatever!

And as for spell, it's fireball.

What's the difference really?

Just change the description and switch the class to mage, or I'll do it for you. Stop complaining.

Is that going against the Firebolt thing? It's pretty much fireball except in the style of a bolt.

No, look at your description...ah whatever, your description won't matter much anyways. You will be able to use fire bolt after you buy it, but not now. Fireball is the key. Fire Bolt does more damage.
