I liked Fallout 3 out of all the RPG's I played (except maybe Legend of Dragoon). Fallout 3 just has so much to do/so many ways to do it. It combines the RPG elements with a FPS (and with TPS) and creates a different experience than most typical RPG's.
I am going to go with Ultima Online 1997-1999 or so. Those were the glory years. A game hasn't given me that special feeling since old UO. Too bad that game got ruined.
Most certanily either Oblivion or Final Fantasy VII...of course, being my age (14) there are tons of games that I haven't played that others might say are better...that's just my personal opinion, though.
i think Fable (the first one without expansion ) it makes me play more than 50 hours i beat it at leas 4 times is a very good game
i agree that World of warcraft is a great game but i cant get along with the huge world where i geot lost in and the fighting system but though a good game
One of the best RPGs I've ever played is Dragon Quest 3. There are better games out their currently, but if DQ3 got a complete overhaul (AKA new graphics and layout), then it would be absolutely awesome. Pokemon Crystal is also a pretty intense RPG, it's where many of my hours as a childhood went.
oblivion any day. im playing it right now, every month or so i get this craving for a good rpg. i always come back to oblivion. I decided to make a full mage with all the magic skills and im level 43. im almost a master of all my major skills, just got to finish destruction and restoration
fable 2 is also an amazing game, i think vs oblivion, fable 2 has a better story(although i do love oblivions) but oblivion has a better skill system and something about oblivion always makes me come back unlike fable 2. once I got done playing fable 2 for a few weeks and beat it in lots of diff ways i stopped and havent gone back yet
