- The Health Canada team also found five times as much hydrogen cyanide and nitrogen oxides, which are linked to heart and lung damage respectively. - Previous research has shown cannabis smoke is more harmful to lungs than tobacco as it is inhaled more deeply and held in the lungs for a longer period. - The researchers also found that the marijuana users had early symptoms of psychotic disorders, such as schizophrenia and mania. However, those symptoms were considered sub-threshold, meaning they were below the level required for a diagnosis. Yes, I did copy and paste parts of the article here. But it's just some tiny bits of evidence to refute your point Jtwolf. Even if it does use words such as "may", "can" and "might", anything with drugs can involve risk and will have some form of negative effect
Sorry for the double post, but keep in mind, I'm all for the legalization or decriminalization of marijuana. I think it's good to look at both sides of the fence
There are negative side effects of using marijuana: such as mental issue having to due with stunting of mental development, and physical issue with hormones and weight gain. And in general it makes you lazy and creates a useless person. I personally don't care whether people smoke marijuana or not, it's their choice. I would normally say, legalize it, and let people do as they wish. As long as a person is not pushing things on other people, or affecting anyone else negatively, they should be able to do as they wish. But since I care about the well being of the United States I would not want marijuana legalized because of how it would make for more lazy people in our society. I don't want my Dollar affected, and for me to have to face the economic consequences when half of our population is sitting on their couches eating cheese puffs, and smoking pot.
Flipski is right all the way. I tried marijuana and it was a waste of time, health and my time. All it did was make me be like WOAH, what's going on!!! It was retarded. And because of what I did, me and my best best best friend can't see each other ever again :cccccc
haha, I've done it three times. The first time, I was really really drunk also and awoke with a horrible headache. I had a lot of fun, but I could have just had as much fun without it. The second and third times were pretty lame.
I just feel that people should be free to do as they wish as long as they don't hurt anyone else. I'm all about freedom.
O dear the amount of illegal substances consumed in my teenage years doesnt bear thinking about. Ive stopped all that now tho of course ebing a pilot and all. Cant b off my face on the job! But on a more serious note i think marijuana should be legalised. My brother was put into Feltham Young Offenders Institute for dealing weed. I dont think it was fair rele. He was doin it to put food on the table riskin a lot being out on the corner in North West London. Pretty dodgy place. Also statistically it would save like 30% of the polices time (in the UK) if mary jane was legalised. It would also make it safer for the dealers and the users as it could be much more open and controlled. Thats what i think anyway. However i would only think this of weed not any other drug, just beacsue there has ony ever been 1 recorded death from weed in the UK and the person must have been either a massive lightweight or like a 5 yr old. Most other street drugs are far more dangerous.
