Personally, I don't think a new handheld console should be made, the ones already on the market are good enough, psp, DS, so on. I think a new console (Xbox360, PS3, etc) should come out for the sole reason of competition in the market, driving prices down, maybe. But what could a company possibly make to rival the likes of Playstation and Xbox? Probably something that isn't insanely expensive or has a 'ring of fire'.
both.. handheld game graphics are terrible for the ds, and the psp not much better with mostly rubbish games... A new console just upgradeing everything that they have now eg, graphics features etc.
You people need to think outside of the box. You can't honestly think that the xbox or the playstation are going to be around for ever. Hell, the only reason the playstation exist is because Nintendo canceled on a 32bit attachment to the nes that sony agreed on doing for them, Thus gave birth to the first playstation. As for the Xbox, Microsoft makes a lot more money on the PC, so they could cut Xbox if they wanted to. Nintendo might go on longer than the rest, because it get games from many different companies, and has the most exclusive games. All other consoles share games. The best games are usually multiplatform. Final Fantasy was originally a Nintendo game, but Sony bought the rights and makes FF, and now Micrsoft shares the rights with Sony.
Handheld systems are going to be the next biggest thing. Making something smaller, cheaper, better is the current trend. That's were Mac dominates the competition. They make everything so small, you could practically break it by holding it. I think handhelds should be made next, only because that is whats going to happen.
only thing is, the educational status is going to drop significantly. everyone will be playing the handheld system that is made out of a cloth material, so it's able to be folded up and put in a folder. That would be nice to see, a system made paper thin, with no buttons only touch sensitive.
Heres the thing. PS2, X-Box, and Gamecube cam out, and that was it, until the new systems. In the time between Ps2 and PS2, we got The GBA, GBA SP, DS, PSP, and that other one which I can never remember.
