[b]i like slipknot but most other people seem to get angry at me when i say that so i decided to make a post so rant about it if u want i just like seeing opinions on the matter :/
Anyways, Slipknot is a brutal band, and they're all great musicians. They have mellowed out over they years, abd corey needs to keep that crap with Stonnesour, but slipknot is awesome!
OMG I almost had a spasm from all the spam going on up in here. I like Slipknot, I think the Masks are pretty creative and the main reason I like them is because they are pretty fun to drum to and the singer has a great voice(when he is not screaming, like in stone sour.)
I'm not a big fan of Nu-Metal, in fact, I hate just about all Nu-Metal minus a few songs by Korn. One reason I personally don't like the band is that I think one of the drummers ( if it wasn't a drummer, his name is Joey) said that Slipknot is the heaviest band in the world. Their songs are also boring, and I hate those masks (they're like a wannabe GWAR). And nine people in a band is just stupid, I think. The worst part is is the fact that it sounds like at most five people are in the band, I only hear one drummer, possibly two guitarists, one bassist, and one lead singer.
And I watched a video for one of their concerts and Corey was all "YOU READY TO TEAR THIS MOTHER F*****R UP?!" Got the crowd cheering, and then they played possibly the softest song they ever wrote. I'm very mad this band has gotten as famous as they are.
I only like the very first songs they came out with and then like 2 new ones. I like their old stuff because the pretty much cursed the whole time, they had a more heavy plus techno sound, and it was more instrumental and they really focused on each sound. If you listen to the new Wait and Bleed and then the old one; huge difference.
Pfft, you're kidding right? I want whatever you're on, if it makes you think Slipknot is brutal. It'll make all the rest of the real brutal sound so much better.
Slipknot to me is . . . lame. Boring, unamusing, and straight up lame.
