I made myself an ultamate shadow class fighter... to be breif i maxed speed strike and shadow blend for utamate dmg... then got str to 24 rest all on speed then put 1 in the tree so i could get shadow replicate and maxed it out then got 5 on heal and mana... yea im bout like lvl 50 cuz i have no life but now am maxing out heal and mana
The cheapest way is definitely the Avenger path, you just get strength for a good shield, stick everything into health after that, and...sit around until your hp and mp go doowwwwnnn...then kill everyone behind your shield
For the ring thing go to that room with the statue of the angel holding the sword and there is a moon in the window, press space next to it and you get an extra skill point, boom
Unimatrix, For the blod guardian, no matter what class you are, buy the voodoo shield, just for that one fight. He wont get past it cause its magical defense is too high
I found the shadow copy very useful, especially because the first time it spawns it also gets a shield...a copy of yours. With the voodoo shield, that meant that the blood guardian couldn't do very much damage (he kept getting past my shield before I got past his, though) and in the other levels, it tends to dodge a lot, probably because I had it on level 2, so it could dodge more than me. It actually did decent damage, but it was mostly sword/magic fodder.

I beat him the hard way...i had a large surplus on money, and spended it on defense gear (went in with golden armor). I had heal and charge at high enough levels so I wouldn' tneed potions, and just spammed speed strike.
Yes about mendo,s ring it is exactly seing look at the moon and thats wahat you got to do just go near the moon on the window at the upper floar and press space (the window behind the statue).I figured it out today!
