Okay, I have a suggestion but I feel it's important to me to know what the opinions of others are. And before any one starts flaming me, I'm trying to be as polite and neutral on this as possible.
The Quick Feedback that is attached to every game allows users to comment as much as they want so long as they wait out the 30 second cool down. Also, no user is allowed to edit a post they've made once they hit submit.
The catch, say some one posts a comment right after one of their own, even if they aren't being belligerent or reposting the same thing; this user gets flagged for spamming. So if Joe Schmoe user forgot to say something in his post, he's S.O.L until Jane Schmoe says something.
So my suggestions are these... 1) Define the following terms "flaming, badgering, spamming, or trolling" as seen in the terms of agreement within the terms of agreement. The purpose of this would be to educate everyone and not live under the pretense that everyone is internet savvy.
2)Allow users to edit their posts at least once. [See bungie.net for reference] Purpose simply being nice to the end user. Let people correct spelling mistakes and type anything they might have forgotten.
The alternative, block users from commenting on anything if they are the most recent user to comment. If you are going to give the user the ability to post repeatedly, don't ding them for it.
I see what you mean. I would think that people are trying to just get APs by such comments. When I'm sweeping through game comments I tend to delete those that lack anything constructive. I say flag at your discretion, but always with those that are considerably bad.
We definately need a edit button because people screw up their posts on purpose just so they can get more AP,example: "My nam is blah123" then they post again saying "oops i meant *name*" they mess up on purpose so they can post again to fix that word and get more AP.
