One of the more explored storyline for video games and movies is Live Blood Sports on TV. While out of the question at the moment. But, with sports like UFC, kage fighting and wrestling, what if someone was killed during one. Most likely ratings would soar and stations would see it. There is already Japanese bug fights, illegal dog fights, etc. Plus with games like Unreal Championship and Tournament, Quake three Arena, and many more. Along with movies like the upcoming Death Race, Running Man and others, America seems to like people dying on screen and explosions, while people win things like money, freedom, and other prizes. So do you think in the near/far future Arena Blood sports will be broadcasted on live television?
Its not a real fight at all.. If they like a guy, they'll make him win.. I mean, the guys practice their fight, and its VERY rare that you see someone blooding or hurt.. Well in WWE..
I'm talking about in the future will gladiatoral blood sports make a comeback. They've been around forever, from Roman/Greek gladiators to Medevil Jousts and fights.
I actually watched one show about wrestling, like afterburn or something once. I knew it was fake and I expected it to look real or at least something close to real, but it was the stupidest thing I have ever seen. It was so fake my cat doing a handstand while speaking japanese would seem more real than that wrestling crap. Oh and if they ever do broadcast any blood sports it will never be real. Unless it's like in one of those third world coutries. Besides boxing, which is more of a sport.
Guys I'm not talking about fake wrestling crap. Some of it is real and the WWE used to be real fighting, but now it sucks. I'm talking about REAL gladiatoral arena combat. With guns and vehicles maybe. Has anyone watched Death Race 2000, Futuresport, or both Rollerballs? Has anyone played Unreal Championships and Tournaments, The Club, or anything of that nature?
