This, personally, is my favorite band. At least, their first CD, yourself or someone like you. Their uniqueness is what makes them appealing, Rob Thomas is one of the greater singers in this world, and I like the voice he used to do. It was interesting. I certainly like their ability to take an upbeat tempo, put it to deep, pessimistic lyrics, and soemhow, it turns out awesome. My favorite song by them is hang.

rob killed 'em by going solo. his solo stuff was definitely not worth it. he should have stayed with the group. can't blame him for trying really, but matchbox 20 has become a thing of the past in my opinion
matchbox 20 is making another album! Whoo! thats their 5th xD how can you call it a thing of the past when 3 A.M. is still played on the radio more than almost any other song around? And its 12 years old. Though, i agree with you about rob should have not gone solo. I like little wonders, and this is how a heart breaks, but the rest of it isnt that good. But I dont believe he killed it, he's still there and kickin butt with mb20. Also, another band member is making his own cd... >.> And, I want one of those USB wristbands with the songs and wallpapers and stuff on them! thatd be so cool
i love their first 2 albums. and those songs will be played on the radio. but what i was getting at is that by going solo, rob stole and basically used up all the momentum they had at that point. and they had a ton of it. now they've re-generated some excitement by getting back together, but i just can't see it being as good now as it was then.
they never SPLIT. Theyre just increasing their income as individual artists by making their own albums. Theyre together right now, they were rcently on soundstage, mtv... Rob Thomas will have a new album out this year and mb20 will have a new one out in 2009. *yays*
