Adding a friend on this site isn't like adding one on Facebook or MySpace where you have to allow access to your profile. You don't get notification of people adding you as a friend because at the end of the day it really doesn't matter who has you as a friend. Anyone can view your profile page, so specific permission isn't necessary.
