Today was my orientation at school. You get your schedule, picture, and other information. It started off good and I went to go test my locker. Guess what it said on the front of it! "F--- You!" I felt so welcomed. Two of my friends have swear words and one of my friends has a giant penis on his locker. Now, this is not entirely the school's fault but they are still a little to blame. My locker is also jammed and so then I had to go to the office. The day just gets even better.
I go down to the office and the lady tells me that she can't guarantee it will be fixed. I ask why since it is just a jam. She tells me they don't have enough money. Can someone tell me why the administrators make well over $100,000 per year yet a jammed locker can't be fixed? There's some politics. So she gives me a locker that is at the other end of the school. I only get 6 minutes in between classes. I timed it and made it to my class in 5 minutes with barely anyone there so imagine when hundreds of kids are in my way.
Trust me, it gets better. I go to my principal and tell him that I really need my locker to be fixed or else I will be tardy for my classes. He says with an attitude, "We'll see!" Just some information, my school is going to have criminals clean my school for their community service. It is like the school wants children to be raped. Anyways, I say back to him, "Well maybe Kwame could unjam my locker since he is big and strong." Kwame is the mayor of Detroit. The principal says back to me, "The program with the good criminals is outstanding. They do excellent work." Is it just me or is my principal crazy? I say, "You're right, forget about the kids who actually work hard in school." Then I walked away.
So now I assume I will get bad grades from teachers because the principal will want it that way. I know this is a long post but it is how my day has gone so far. I wonder how much lovelier it can get!
You know my school is fairly new,so graffiti outside of the guys locker rooms is unheard of there, but of course it is a bloods school....anyways did you say you live in Detroit?
