First, I will post the overall rules, and then I will post the specifics about this week.

Original rules, as stated by Ubertuna:

It must fit the week's theme.
It must be submitted by the deadline.
It cannot have inappropriate language in it.
It cannot be stolen (if you plagiarize, we will find you).

Also:

The poem must be created for this contest
A user cannot win two weeks in a row (though everyone is welcome to submit every week!)
Only one submission per user will be accepted

As we all know, the winner will recieve a merit, and their poem will be featured on the _Poetry_ page.

OK, on to this week's topic...Again, we are having a style instead of a theme. Also, this week we are having TWO WEEKS to do it, instead of the usual one. Why? Because this will be an EPIC poem. Or, rather, a parody of an epic poem. Generally, epic poetry is very long, and tells the serious story of a heroic figure. Well, this week, the epic figure is YOU! Write a long poem (I'll leave the definition of 'long' up to you, but give it a good go) about the heroic story of you! It can be silly, serious, whatever... just have fun with it. You have two weeks, so have a great time!

Lord Mist: I've read the entire HP series a grand total of once.

Parsat: Let's take a look at what you said again, okay?

Strop: I see myself getting it in the mirror, what do I do...

Here is my response:

I mean to say, maybe this is an even better quote than the one I've put in the other motivational. Maybe I should switch it...

Like this!

Ummm.....

???

This thing makes things go off,
and it does tell.
We always run out of it,
and it can make things smell.

This thing is in abundance,
Yet I am short of it.
I need more of it,
To write this poem I have now writ....

The end!

Lol...

???

Thy unknown to the mind,
nobody has answered if it is a kind.
I myself doesn't have a clue,
On the question marks what to do?

Is it a question or a clue,
I have no idea and that is true.
Is it for me or for you,
This isn't the time to argue.

It is a shirker roaming around,
on the streets all abound.
Every mind on the street merge,
on what to think on the verge.

These unknowns will soon be found,
but only time will tell when we are around.
These are the questions that had us marked,
and our only self can answer that question that made us harked.

-Raigeki.

hehehe this is my first time. i can try my poetic skills around.

Most of them are common herbs, except for maybe lovage, woodruff, and sorrel.
Ya, I know! But since English is my second language and common herbs rarely come up in casual discussion, well... I'd need to look them up in a dictionary, and then possibly look them up again to find pictures... And I'm just too lazy for that...

@Strop (or Parsat):
EPIC LOL!

I can''t think of an entry for this round...

Ok guys, Deadline's up and here are the winners:

The grand prize of awesomeness place goes to Parsat, for "Intangibility"

Like a terrible beast
It passes by,
Unseen to all,
By none defied.

No man survives
From bottom to top.
No heroes of yore,
Not even Strop.

From small acorn
To branching oak,
Then back to ground,
Its terrible yoke.

Not even stone
With res'lute mind;
Inside its gorge
A river winds.

But with those sheltered
From its midst,
Intangibility
Still persists.

While we have love
Or legacies,
There will be things
It cannot seize."

Second Place place goes to Gantic, for "Basil, Lovage, Sorrel, and Thyme"

Where has the thyme gone
It used to be in my garden
Like clover you I used to fawn
But love's seeds began to harden

Who did the rosemary now
I did not think I wanted it
Like I woodruff for the cow
But now there's not a bit

I know the savory is gone
I used it up two days ago
But the cress on the lawn
I should have let it grow

How did the sage disappear
It was here on the counter
Like when I had a fern here
But then I tried to mount her

I know that tarragon and why
I picked and planted it myself
Coriander left without a bye
But she'd be better by herself

Where has the thyme gone
It used to be in my garden
Like clover you I used to fawn
But love's seeds began to harden

Why is there sorrel there
Where a dead plant is lying
Like the daisy you were fair
But you are now a dandy

And our dishonorable mention goes to Esuna2400 for "Lolzed i just knocked that up =]"

It passes unnoticed,
It flies quite well,
It cannot walk,
It does not ever dwell.

It drives long projects,
and it never stops,
Great people never think about it,
And neither does strop.

Kingryans a noob,
What does this have to do with it,
Its propaganda,
Chuck KR in a pit.

A theme souly name ???,
One riddle for all to guess,
It hails from the hobbit never affecting a dragon,
One big Bilbo all on a quest.

Thankyou to all who participated, this weeks theme is "Out of Context Quotes." Have fun!

I'd just like a better sense of why you chose the ones you did, what you thought made them stand out~ Just a bit of what lies behind your judging.
But I know how difficult it can be to come up with something...

On the Hunt
Or, Please Don't Ban Me, This Is Just For a Contest

This thing, it was so long and hard,
It forced itself midway;
I screamed and gasped for much more air
(Is this a porn cliche?)

It penetrated in the depths
Of an organ soft and pink,
It drove itself in all so hard
I really couldn't think.

It attacked me in from the front,
From sideways and the rear;
It came in flows and quickish spurts
(This is really getting queer).

Since you have fallen for my bait,
I really must explain
The "it" refers to this contest;
The "organ" is my brain.

I was quite strapped for good ideas
Until I wrote this down.
Hyperbole, yes, it's the friend
Of perv-hunters all around.

Awesome Parsat!
I was wondering the whole way to the brain part, how you would save that from obscenity~
Not completely sure you have. :P
But that is lol worthy! X)

I have experience with this kind of hunting. I have plenty of heads mounted on my wall from the hunting grounds they call "high school."

Hey Parsat, you go hunting at school? Haha your main job is to bust heads, in the words of my friend James.

And I think I'm gonna give you a ban Parsat :P

.....okay maybe not haha.
