First, I will post the overall rules, and then I will post the specifics about this week.

Original rules, as stated by Ubertuna:

It must fit the week's theme.
It must be submitted by the deadline.
It cannot have inappropriate language in it.
It cannot be stolen (if you plagiarize, we will find you).

Also:

The poem must be created for this contest
A user cannot win two weeks in a row (though everyone is welcome to submit every week!)
Only one submission per user will be accepted

As we all know, the winner will recieve a merit, and their poem will be featured on the _Poetry_ page.

OK, on to this week's topic...Again, we are having a style instead of a theme. Also, this week we are having TWO WEEKS to do it, instead of the usual one. Why? Because this will be an EPIC poem. Or, rather, a parody of an epic poem. Generally, epic poetry is very long, and tells the serious story of a heroic figure. Well, this week, the epic figure is YOU! Write a long poem (I'll leave the definition of 'long' up to you, but give it a good go) about the heroic story of you! It can be silly, serious, whatever... just have fun with it. You have two weeks, so have a great time!

All poetry doesn't have to rhyme, you know!
Mine happens to be ABCB format.

The book, picked I
read in one day
enjoyed but place on the shelf,
never to be read another day

Yet this book was a different one
For after a week past by
I found to my pleasure that,
it was as good as the very first time
maybe better!

So my story has a moral
And this is how it goes:
No matter how many times you read a book
It may never get old!

Wow, we have some real gems in this pile o' poetry!

I'm gonna come up with one quick for fun.

I'm waiting

Want to stop on page 53,
right in between the fight of the characters,
don't want to lose your place,
I'll keep track for you.

You've been gone quite a while now,
but I'm here between 52 and 53,
I can feel a sting from the slam of the book,
upon my slender body.

I've waited for sometime now,
and the pages have turned a pale brown,
and have begun to curl like fallen leaves.
But I'm still here, even though you're not.

You won't be coming back, will you?
I've waited for you, though it doesn't matter now.
The cover is powedered with dust and the spine is weak,
it doesn't matter to you now, but I will still wait for you.

That was made in a jiffy, so if you didn't like it, that's fine. I can't wait to see who the winner is this week!

One picture is worth a thousand words
Each of those words is a thousand pictures.
Reality is boring
I can only be me.
I am only a picture.
In a story
I am one of those words.

Nope, I've just been busy with stuff, including other urgent AG business...but yes. I will be closing the entries and judging at the same time as the Art contest entries, which is presently in 5 hours!

Books? Last minute entry?

I once did find two travel guides...
And I wondered what I would find inside...

I opened the first...and it looked real nice,
But the people in the second looked like they had lice.

The first had green bushes and trees,
The second just dead branches and hundreds of bees.

The first had cities shiny and clean,
But the seconds city...they were gross...you get what I mean...

And the people...oh what a shock!
The seconds population looked as thick as a rock!

And so I closed the books and read the cover,
The second said Victoria...and can you guess the other?

So if you come to this country do yourself a favour!
Don't bother about Victoria and come to...

SOUTH AUSTRALIA

Ahahahahaahahahahahahaha!

I notice a certain trend in the lack of comments about my entries.
I know, shut up.
God, you'd think I learn!
