First, I will post the overall rules, and then I will post the specifics about this week.
Original rules, as stated by Ubertuna:
It must fit the week's theme. It must be submitted by the deadline. It cannot have inappropriate language in it. It cannot be stolen (if you plagiarize, we will find you).
Also:
The poem must be created for this contest A user cannot win two weeks in a row (though everyone is welcome to submit every week!) Only one submission per user will be accepted
As we all know, the winner will recieve a merit, and their poem will be featured on the _Poetry_ page.
OK, on to this week's topic...Again, we are having a style instead of a theme. Also, this week we are having TWO WEEKS to do it, instead of the usual one. Why? Because this will be an EPIC poem. Or, rather, a parody of an epic poem. Generally, epic poetry is very long, and tells the serious story of a heroic figure. Well, this week, the epic figure is YOU! Write a long poem (I'll leave the definition of 'long' up to you, but give it a good go) about the heroic story of you! It can be silly, serious, whatever... just have fun with it. You have two weeks, so have a great time!
Judgement Day seems fitting. If you've done your part (submitted a poem with all criteria) before that time, then you have nothing to fear. If you have not, then too bad.
I never saw it happening, I never thought it would go down. Till you came out, and told me all; Destiny. I should have seen this coming on, given how quickly you joined me. A quick goodbye, so meaningless; History.
Now I can see you walking out, into the dark and stormy night. You broke my heart, and crushed my dreams; Tragedy. Sadness shall reign another day, put all my hopes to frenzied flight. Where you go now, I could care less; Mystery.
My broken hands reach to the stars, towards flowing time and endless space. I cast away, and forgot all; Memory. I can't even remember when, they say I lost my only friend. I barely live, I lost the will; Hopelessly.
Um...no the dead line is not being extended. We have enough submissions, and I'm judging. Deadline is 11:59pm tonight. I already gave an extended deadline.
Well sometimes we call you Wolfeh. But now I'll start calling you Wolfie, just because. By the way, not talking to me? I mean come on. Don't make me stalk you, bro.
Good luck to everyone and those who rush their submissions in
Known as the Arm ripper among many, revered as a king by many, known as valiant, fair, for if an enemy is hindered he himself will become hindered by his own hand, fought not for money, not for women but for glory and honor.
Defeated great monstroties, among them demons and monsters of great strengh and height, but because it didn't use weapons or armor neither did he, he fears nothing not even death itself and stands with a clear consicene before the great king of Gods Odin.
If you don't know he who i speak of His name is Beowulf. SirGene
