First, I will post the overall rules, and then I will post the specifics about this week.
Original rules, as stated by Ubertuna:
It must fit the week's theme. It must be submitted by the deadline. It cannot have inappropriate language in it. It cannot be stolen (if you plagiarize, we will find you).
Also:
The poem must be created for this contest A user cannot win two weeks in a row (though everyone is welcome to submit every week!) Only one submission per user will be accepted
As we all know, the winner will recieve a merit, and their poem will be featured on the _Poetry_ page.
OK, on to this week's topic...Again, we are having a style instead of a theme. Also, this week we are having TWO WEEKS to do it, instead of the usual one. Why? Because this will be an EPIC poem. Or, rather, a parody of an epic poem. Generally, epic poetry is very long, and tells the serious story of a heroic figure. Well, this week, the epic figure is YOU! Write a long poem (I'll leave the definition of 'long' up to you, but give it a good go) about the heroic story of you! It can be silly, serious, whatever... just have fun with it. You have two weeks, so have a great time!
I'm a bit short on time here, so I'm not going to do an analysis on who won or why they didn't. I will do it if you really want to, just post on my world. Apologies, since life really has been throwing curve balls my way.
with the watch in my hand i'm still playing with the band the big hand here and the little hand there you got little black marks everywhere! ticky tocky tick tick tick ticky tocky tick tick tick the great clock of time it rings my chime ticky tocky tick tick tick we take it all for granted the time that we all share
Coma Watching the clock tick, realising I am sick. I have no idea who I've become, this new mind of mine is a slum.
Time has been cruel, time has been sly, but I can't keep up with everyone walking by. All of these years, what did I miss? The last few years, I was in silent bliss.
Time is all I need, time is all I want, I feel like I can't breathe, time, you musn't flaunt. ____________________________________________________________
Wow, no idea where the inspiration for that came from. Eh, I like it, so I hope everyone enjoys it.
And following the trend started with the previous poetry round, I'll only judge when I deem there to be a sufficient amount of poems, or a ridiculous amount of time has elapsed.
Oh, and do discuss the poems other users post! Makes it all more interesting.
