First, I will post the overall rules, and then I will post the specifics about this week.
Original rules, as stated by Ubertuna:
It must fit the week's theme. It must be submitted by the deadline. It cannot have inappropriate language in it. It cannot be stolen (if you plagiarize, we will find you).
Also:
The poem must be created for this contest A user cannot win two weeks in a row (though everyone is welcome to submit every week!) Only one submission per user will be accepted
As we all know, the winner will recieve a merit, and their poem will be featured on the _Poetry_ page.
OK, on to this week's topic...Again, we are having a style instead of a theme. Also, this week we are having TWO WEEKS to do it, instead of the usual one. Why? Because this will be an EPIC poem. Or, rather, a parody of an epic poem. Generally, epic poetry is very long, and tells the serious story of a heroic figure. Well, this week, the epic figure is YOU! Write a long poem (I'll leave the definition of 'long' up to you, but give it a good go) about the heroic story of you! It can be silly, serious, whatever... just have fun with it. You have two weeks, so have a great time!
Just playing around. Each line has the same amount of characters (incl. spaces). L1 and L3, L2 and L4 have the same amount of words (therefore spaces) and syllables.

Fingers tapping on my window beckon me to leave my room, But I've got so much work to do and none to finish soon. They entice a look from me outside into the merry gloom. I turn my head back to my desk and hear a distant croon.
RAIN This part of nature,i love so much! The smell of rain, the feel of a wintery gust, I can already see the flowers, painting the land, Rising up from....WHUT>>?!?!?! EXCUSE ME!!

Umm Alt, well it rhymed well and it gave a different point of view of rain.
The deadline? I rather not say yet, Once there are more entrees i will tell you. See i don't want those who have entered to have to wait to long but i want to give others a chance to enter. Maybe around May 7? We will see. I'll give you a definite by Sunday.
So this is how people get merits... I thought it was only in games...
First time ever doing it, I don't really know if it is really Poerty or not. I have no heart. 8D
Raindrops are cold, sometimes too big. Raindrops are refreshing, sometimes in need of thirst. Raindrops give headaches, sometimes give us the cold. Raindrops are wet, but deserts are dry.
I tried finding out what we were suppose to write a poem about but couldnt find anything
awfjadlskjfawjf It seems like you figured it out but for future reference the theme is up at the top of the page. Right next to where it says Weekly Poetry Contest.
