First, I will post the overall rules, and then I will post the specifics about this week.

Original rules, as stated by Ubertuna:

It must fit the week's theme.
It must be submitted by the deadline.
It cannot have inappropriate language in it.
It cannot be stolen (if you plagiarize, we will find you).

Also:

The poem must be created for this contest
A user cannot win two weeks in a row (though everyone is welcome to submit every week!)
Only one submission per user will be accepted

As we all know, the winner will recieve a merit, and their poem will be featured on the _Poetry_ page.

OK, on to this week's topic...Again, we are having a style instead of a theme. Also, this week we are having TWO WEEKS to do it, instead of the usual one. Why? Because this will be an EPIC poem. Or, rather, a parody of an epic poem. Generally, epic poetry is very long, and tells the serious story of a heroic figure. Well, this week, the epic figure is YOU! Write a long poem (I'll leave the definition of 'long' up to you, but give it a good go) about the heroic story of you! It can be silly, serious, whatever... just have fun with it. You have two weeks, so have a great time!

I'll have to go check my stash to see what I can dig up.

Doesn't the poem have to be written specifically for the contest, though?

Tea
By mentorso123

I know that this isn't poetry
but I don't really drink too much tea
I'm sad
so sad

Know why? Because
I have allergies
allergies to teas

doesn't that disable me?
with and allergy?
or no,
must I drink some tea?

Here's my entry for the week, written during our "Homework time" in Physics:

Back in Nature

Drip, drip, drip.
Crack in the cup.
Hot mint tea
Runs on the table

Liquid pools,
Trickles more.
Gracefully,
Meets the floor.

Splash, Splash, Splash
Stream towards the door.
Cup is empty;
Tea is free.

Back in Nature:
Sun reflects,
Tea shines back;
A friendly greeting.

He was born as a baby,
He thought himself lazy.
Called a wuss,
and without a fuss,
he realized he was a lady.

Strops version:
He was born as a baby,
He thought himself lazy.
Called a wussy,
He realized he had a ......
and saw he was a lady.

..............STROP YOU'RE A PERV....PROVOKER!

Steaming, frothing, smoking,
I move toward it, provoking
other Englishmen.

Steaming, frothing, smoking,
Its smell is tracking,
up my nostrils.

Steaming, frothing, smoking,
It is so easily tingling,
my desire.

Steaming, frothing, smoking,
I resist the passionate sensation
to drink it.

Steaming, frothing, smoking,
I move toward it, looking
around at others.

Is it safe? Is it okay?
I ask myself these questions as I sway
from sleepiness.

I need it! I must have it!
I shout to myself these phrases and sit
down, to have my cup of tea.

Of course, Strop will bring in more...adult...thoughts into this poem. =/

STROP! YOU MEANY MEANY MEANY! GRRRRRRRRRR!

Well...hmm...lets take another route today to get it...Theme Misunderstanding and Bogan References

Drinking Tea

I hate this drink,
that they give me.
It is really quite bad,
you should see.

Its orange and brown,
and lumpy and thick.
It makes me gag,
and once made me sick.

I miss the days,
When food was hard,
Not this pureed stuff.
That tastes likes lard.

I pine for a taco,
Or a Curry of Josh Rogan,
Some kind of food,
Maybe even from a Victorian Bogan.

But my teeth are gone,
Alas, oh poor me.
I hate this retirement home,
Where I have to drink tea.

Hehe! Double Whammy!

Nonononono, manutd, you got that all wrong!

Ever since John was a baby,
His family branded him crazy,
His mates thought him wussy,
They then saw...(I'm still not saying this part!),
And realized he was a lady!

I'm so proud of it. THIS LIMERICK IS SACRED!!!

Darn it, I think I'll go tender my resignation to Carlie now...

kingryan: your bogan reference this time was very mild. I see your anti-bogan medication is helping.

Yo, strop! How am I supposed to enter if I am allergic to tea? *throws computer at strop*

I will never forgive you if you say "well, you wouldn't win anyway" (even though I wouldn't.)

No Strop...it is just that my Bogan-ness is wearing off after I was exposed to so much Boganism in Victoria!
