First, I will post the overall rules, and then I will post the specifics about this week.

Original rules, as stated by Ubertuna:

It must fit the week's theme.
It must be submitted by the deadline.
It cannot have inappropriate language in it.
It cannot be stolen (if you plagiarize, we will find you).

Also:

The poem must be created for this contest
A user cannot win two weeks in a row (though everyone is welcome to submit every week!)
Only one submission per user will be accepted

As we all know, the winner will recieve a merit, and their poem will be featured on the _Poetry_ page.

OK, on to this week's topic...Again, we are having a style instead of a theme. Also, this week we are having TWO WEEKS to do it, instead of the usual one. Why? Because this will be an EPIC poem. Or, rather, a parody of an epic poem. Generally, epic poetry is very long, and tells the serious story of a heroic figure. Well, this week, the epic figure is YOU! Write a long poem (I'll leave the definition of 'long' up to you, but give it a good go) about the heroic story of you! It can be silly, serious, whatever... just have fun with it. You have two weeks, so have a great time!

I guess I am, or else the judge problem would just persist. Multiple temporary solutions aren't so great.

Wow... that was epic judging! I really like how you provide a lot of feedback.

Thanks! As for affection... you do not really mean as in love, like obsession, anything like that? I'm kinda confused (even though I shouldn't be) LOL.

If it's affection as in love, then I can stick to my extreme pessimism style that I prefer. This one is very vague as well, giving me even more creative opportunities.

To shayneii and TSL3_needed: Affection is a more specific kind of love. It's the kind that isn't sensual, but the kind you show when you care about a person or a pet, for instance.

Hmmmm. . .can we use take advantage of the multiple definitions of the word 'affection?'

Absolutely. It's a one-word theme, you can take it however you want, so long as it fits the definition you choose.

Excellent job judging, Parsat.

I am going to post a poem for this week's theme "Emotion". Before I do, I just want to emphasize that this poem is about emotions that can get trampled on if one isn't careful. Here goes. . .

CARNAGE

Venomous crawling ivy
grasps a
delicate weeping willow

Calamity upon splendor.

A slaughtering of elegance.
Annihilation of innocence left.

Malevolent creeping weed
clutches an
exquisite solitary rose

Iniquity over purity

A bloodshed of one's dignity.
Eradication of rational left

Malicious prejudiced beast
grips a
benevolent impartial creature

Adversity over tranquility.

A carnage of one's emotions
Obliteration of sanity left.

Uh ..my bad ...please disregard the poem I just entered. Geesh! I really should wait until I'm not medicated to post..huh? LOL
Obviously I was thinking the theme was "emotions", not "affection" ... sorry.

Woozy

I get a felling
all my problems are gone
my soul is slowly healing
my heart is a little fawn
ready to prance

No one could enhance
you beautiful face
your sending me in to a warm, solum trance
I never want to leave this place

My eyes stare
into your soul
I wish you could see
How much I want you

It seems you have noticed me
you get a tiny grin
I can see your feelings growing like a tree
I know you have done no sin

Wow... thats deep.

Please forgive me for any mushiness or lack of understandability. Yeah, that's a word; understandability, google that crap. It exists. Anyways, I'm no poet. And yeah, I know it's short.

How Far For Love(just to fall)

I got a feeling
I'm falling
My head it is reeling
Your voice it is calling
How far will we go for love?
How far have we come
Just to fall again?
But it doesn't matter in the end
Cuz I have you...
And that's the truth!

If keeping love means I will die
I just can't understand why
I'm willing to lay down and die
All for love
Some say it lasts forever
But it's just a perfect poison
I should've known
It was too good to be true
But that won't be the end of me and you

Affection
What does it mean?
We will work for just a glean
Of the workings of the greatest ways
Until the end of our days
And our duties we will shirk
Just to find this truth again
Just to fall again, in the end

How far we will go for love
Or what feels like it, anyway
Just to fall again, in the end
When the wind blows another day
