First, I will post the overall rules, and then I will post the specifics about this week.
Original rules, as stated by Ubertuna:
It must fit the week's theme. It must be submitted by the deadline. It cannot have inappropriate language in it. It cannot be stolen (if you plagiarize, we will find you).
Also:
The poem must be created for this contest A user cannot win two weeks in a row (though everyone is welcome to submit every week!) Only one submission per user will be accepted
As we all know, the winner will recieve a merit, and their poem will be featured on the _Poetry_ page.
OK, on to this week's topic...Again, we are having a style instead of a theme. Also, this week we are having TWO WEEKS to do it, instead of the usual one. Why? Because this will be an EPIC poem. Or, rather, a parody of an epic poem. Generally, epic poetry is very long, and tells the serious story of a heroic figure. Well, this week, the epic figure is YOU! Write a long poem (I'll leave the definition of 'long' up to you, but give it a good go) about the heroic story of you! It can be silly, serious, whatever... just have fun with it. You have two weeks, so have a great time!
This is based off the Chinese legend of the discovery of tea.
What was the shrub that quenched ten thousand thirsts? Was the leaf that fell into the cauldron first Green, or autumn yellow as that bronze that gleamed? Did the leaf cry as its life ebbed in the steam Imparting its blood in bitter streams? Or did it resign into its fate Stoic 'til the end, its countenance sedate? What love was this, that the life of one Should satisfy the desires of a million?
Alrighty, here's mine. I don't know if I can beat Parsat though.
Anything But
Oh, I how I love the liquid novelty called tea! It's aroma is so complex and inviting, The warmth of the mug oozes through my fingers, giving my senses complete bliss. The petite tea leaves swirl around with the swish of my spoon...
WHAT!? DRINK THE TEA!?
Why would I do such an outlandish thing? The tea will be gone and I would have nothing to admire! I will never ever drink such a valuable thing! Who would ever drink this precious tea? What a silly thought!
This just popped into my head. I guess I like to write from weird perspectives.
Well...So do I...its just these BOGAN Music assignments (that must come from Boganland, Victoria) keep me on the computer...
So then I turn of the blocker I put on AG...(really dumb I know...I put a block up to stop myself from coming here so I do hw...and then I turn the block off)...and check to see if the Bogan judge has judged yet!
I judged the art...so this one comes tomorrow. I will be out beating up...I mean playing soccer with my fellow classmates, so it will be a little late!
