First, I will post the overall rules, and then I will post the specifics about this week.

Original rules, as stated by Ubertuna:

It must fit the week's theme.
It must be submitted by the deadline.
It cannot have inappropriate language in it.
It cannot be stolen (if you plagiarize, we will find you).

Also:

The poem must be created for this contest
A user cannot win two weeks in a row (though everyone is welcome to submit every week!)
Only one submission per user will be accepted

As we all know, the winner will recieve a merit, and their poem will be featured on the _Poetry_ page.

OK, on to this week's topic...Again, we are having a style instead of a theme. Also, this week we are having TWO WEEKS to do it, instead of the usual one. Why? Because this will be an EPIC poem. Or, rather, a parody of an epic poem. Generally, epic poetry is very long, and tells the serious story of a heroic figure. Well, this week, the epic figure is YOU! Write a long poem (I'll leave the definition of 'long' up to you, but give it a good go) about the heroic story of you! It can be silly, serious, whatever... just have fun with it. You have two weeks, so have a great time!

I've decided that Numb Immortality, the third one, is going to be my official entry.
I think I have a shot at second place. Maybe...

I have a shot at second to last place. I will be grateful if I at least get that.

The Land Beyond the Sky

I feel my body lose control
As the cold air sweeps the room,
And I feel a tingling in my soul
Indicating certain doom.

I have but just a few minutes left
Before my spirit makes its way,
To a land in which you must be swept
After death; there you will stay.

I lie there on the kitchen floor
As time goes ticking by,
And I wonder if there's really more
In the land beyond the sky.

I feel no feeling in my head
My sight blurs up a storm,
And I know that I am almost dead
For my hearing hears no more.

And twelve brown bottles on the ground
Sit there and mock me so,
Laughing at me, all empty and round
It is their fault I must go.

A warmth arises in my pants
As it spreads straight from the fly,
And the contents of those round, brown runts
Makes a puddle on the tile.

My feeling is completely gone
My whole body has shut down,
And I realize that He has won
As an angel I am crowned.

I know I have but seconds left
And I know I'm 'bout to die,
When my clock stops ticking, I'll be swept
In the land beyond the sky.

This poem does not reflect my beliefs. It just sorta came to me. I feel as though it has an Irish feel to it...

Tomorrow is the last day to post submissions or decide your final submission, if you have not done so already. I hope to be more punctual this time.

Okay, well thank you! Which character is Patric McReary?

And isn't the judging today? If that is the case, what time is it going to be?

Just a criminal but when you go drinking with him some times he talks about poetry.

So he hasn't written any?

By the way, this is getting a bit off topic...

Beaten, bit, bruised.
Smacked, hit, is he amused?

Every night. He is there,
I am awakened by his perusing
presence. He throws another
glass bottle away, screams.
Time for me to run.
away.

It doesn't affect me. The pain,
the suffering, tears, clothes
tainted with crusted blood.

This is me.
I am,

numb.

Last minute entry... lol
